5 days b4 af was due doc insisted i do a preg test beforew he would give me tablets for mouth infection the results came back neg so i got tabs but only took 2. af didnt come but i had been having dizzy spells so i went to docs (af 12 days late) she said didnt know what was wrong nd to come back in a week if i was the same, fast forward two hours i went to the toilet and had a blood clot the size of palm of my hand in my pants and another half the size down the toilet and another half the size of that when i returned to toilet 10 mins later. i thought it might be af but i have never had BIG. there was very little blood and had completly stopped in less than 16 hours. i have been ttc for over 2 years and this has not happened before and was just wondering if this had happened to anyone else

did you get medical help as it could be something that needs medical attention?

as the docs was closing she told me to go to a+e if i was concerned about it she didnt seem to be concerned so i didnt to which dh went mad

What about phoning NHS Direct? They might point you in the right direction? Otheriwse I would pop to A&E - not many other options available on a Saturday night?!

I had this years ago,had only just begun to wonder if i may have been pregnant(really sore boobs)but hadn't missed period(had sort of periods with dd1).Went to loo lost jelly thing and then later had funny back pains and bled v v bad (like you said clots like palm of hand).

doc did a test 5 days b4 i was due and it was neg but i dont know if it was two soon i really dont know, i havent bleed loads it was mainly the clots

i had bleeding alway throught preg with dd(5) but not like this and i dont have any other symptoms except feeling dizzy

no its ok dh has been moaning at me to get it sorted but in a way i dont want another negative result we have an appointment at the fertility clinic end of next month and it all makes me feel such a failure
