How early for pregnancy symptoms second time around?

We've just started TTC #2 and I was wondering if people generally tend to experience pregnancy symptoms earlier the second time around? With my first, I started feeling nauseous about 4 days after getting my BFP. I'm now around 5DPO and this evening I've suddenly started feeling nauseous and have a lingering headache. I'm guessing this is far too early to be symptom spotting?

I was curious about this. You would think you would know what to expect but I got my bfp with my first in Feb 2011 (feels like ages ago!) and all I can remember is having a light 'period' then feeling sick when my husband was cooking fish on the Friday night the getting the bfp Saturday am.

Now, I'm currently 5 days late and desperately tired with nipples that feel like they are on fire and occasional cramping and feeling a little bit sick on and off. I dare not test in case I get a negative!!

Biscuitnoodle when are you planning to test? It sounds very positive to me! I'm now about 8DPO and have had a headache for 4 days now, felt on and off nauseous and been unusually cold. Oh, and have had some wacky vivid dreams. The headache has go so bad today it feels almost like a migraine and paracetamol doesn't seem to touch it. Finding it hard not to get carried away with the idea that I might be pregnant, although it's only our first month of TTC #2 so I know it's unlikely.

I knew straight away the second time, way before the tests showed up positive, but I felt very different from the first time as far as I recall. I think, if you're in tune with your body, sometimes you just know.

That's interesting RaRaZ - I'm now feeling the same as I did in my first pregnancy but it's all happened a lot earlier. I'm trying not to get my hopes up ahead of doing a test next weekend, but I can't think of any other logical reason for all of these symptoms other than me being pregnant. This morning I woke up with a small wet patch on my nightie around my right nipple - leaking already, at around 9DPO, WTF? I had a rough first pregnancy with sickness the whole way through and crippling headaches in the first trimester so I guess my body is just very sensitive to the hormones. That's exactly how I feel again now.

Well, everybody's different. Sometimes it can be psychosomatic though: if you desperately want to be pregnant, sometimes your body can make you think you are. That said, there's a lot to be said for female intuition I think... Just don't get your hopes up too high just in case - but best of luck! When can you test?

Sorry guys, I got my af in the night! I think my body was tricking me. Gutted!

ChocolateBrownieBaker · 10/06/2013 16:35

Gutted for you biscuitnoodle. Am now thinking my horrendous headache may have been a migraine which may or may not be because I'm pregnant. Planning to test on Saturday if AF doesn't get to me first. I'll be 2 days late by then.

Oh, I'm sorry :-( You ok? Keep trying - you're probably thinking now that it will take forever, but it might be next month :-) Good luck!
