no peak smiley on CB digi advance - complete waste of money??????

i'm new to OPKs having previously just relied on guesswork - this worked for DD and also my last pregnancy which ended in a mc in feb.
We've now been ttc for a couple of months with no success post mc so I thought i'd try OPKs to check that I am ovulating when I think I am.... my cycles have been 24/25 days for the last 3 months, and based on ewcm and feeling horny I think I ovulate around CD or 12 (this also roughly ties in with dates from previous two pregnancies).

Soooo, started testing on CD6 as recommended by the packet for my cycle length. Got low fertility until CD10 when I got high fertility as expected (2 days before ovulation). This seemed to tie in with ewcm.
BUT nothing has changed since and for 4 days now I'm still only getting high fertility. I really did expect to get peak a couple of days ago. ewcm has gone now.
Anyone else experience something like this?
Think it could have missed my peak?
Or that I'm not ovulating?? (body still screwy from mc??)
Is it possible to get increasing oestrogen but no LH surge, or do the two go hand-in-hand?
Am I being stupid to panic?? i've only got 2 sticks left now

Can't really help yet...got first flashing smiley today so will keep you posted...hope you get your peak soon!!!

On day two of high fertility so will keep you posted...have you had your peak yet??

thanks bambi i got the peak eventualy after 4 days of flashing - that was 2 days later than i thought that i was ovulating

Oh day four of flashing smiley :( really thought today was going to be fixed??! Today is day app on phone says I 'ovulate' but maybe that's a good thing as not been using opks so far and maybe that's why we've not been catching as I ovulate late??!! We shall have to see!!!

I have just had another flashing smiley :( so frustrating!! I'm thinking now even if I do get a fixed it will be a bit late?? Making my luteal stage very short?? What do you think?

WTF?!?!? how annoying.
I don't know and am waiting to find out the answer to that question myself - if my period comes when it's due according to my "normal" cycle then it would mean a short luteal phase... But maybe it will come late because I ovulated later than normal??
I thought that using these sticks would make everything easy but instead they've made it more confusing!!

Phoned the helpline and the lady said that I probably have already ovulated and may have missed the surge for one reason or another! Either that or haven't but then probably won't...helpful! She advised not to bother with anymore sticks this cycle after the one tomo! She said if we dtd around the time if high and continue for a few more days we will be covered if I have ovulated! Very frustrated! And lo #1 is being a madam today...not a good day!!

Is tomorrow your last stick? I'd keep going until the end of the pack just in case.
i'm feeling really ambivalent about these sticks. I almost don't even believe the peak that i did get as it was so much later than i expected it.

sorry to hear that you LO is being difficult. mine's off at nursery so inflicting her waking up 1 hour early grumpiness on them

It's just teeth I think last few coming through but making her v annoyed! She's at school as well, goes 1-3 so picking her up soon! Yeah will do last stick tomorrow but lady thinks I prob had a wee in night to late and have missed my surge with no concentrated enough wee! We shall see will try again with them next month if don't get bfp!!

I've had the same and just used my last stick....its back to the cheapies for me.

I'm going give these tests another try next month if no bfp but of no good next month will switch!! No more testing this month now! Just dtd and hoping for the best! Too stressful!!

I am glad I am no alone feeling confused about all thes opk's trying it for the first time this month started testing on the 10th had low fertility for last couple if days I am unsure with my cycle as came off pill In march and I have been 36days and then 32 days so gnna test every day until i get a peak its so hard ive started having reiki and trying to relax but how can you when your counting the days lol x hope u get your BFP very soon x c

Just to add (1st time post on here) I used them (duel hormone) c/b last month no high (flashing smiley face) just solid got peak straight away backed up by cheap opk tests and c/b digital opk too smiley face(pink) .no pregnancy :-(
This month however 7 days of flashing smiley faces then complete O !! For two days gutted no peak till next day!!! Confused of corse backed all this up again by cheap opk and c/b opk too in my absolute opinion would not waste your money girls I will not!! The cheap ones ARE the BEST lots of baby dust to you all and me hehe xxxx

I didn't get a peak in the first cycle of using the CBFM, only Highs. I've read somewhere that it sometimes takes the first cycle to establish a baseline, whatever that means, and that you might not get a peak signal. I'm always using cheapie OPKs in parallel, they tend to work quite well for me (don't ask why I'm even bothering with the CBFM...). In this cycle, I got a peak on the CBFM and a +ve OPK on the same day, so it does work. Just wish it would stop eating asking for sticks for so long...

I never got a peak but got pregnant twice within 6 months (first time mmc now 36 weeks) so clearly fertile! 21 day test also came back saying I hadn't ovulated (on the cycle that I actually conceived current pregnancy).

I'm very sceptical of these tests now. My own symptom spotting for ovulation (ewcm etc) were much more accurate!
