Coming off the pill

Hi, I've just decided, after long deliberation that I am going to try and conceive and start a family in a couple of years. I have been on Dianette since age 16 for my acne. I'm 31 now and my skin is amazing, I had one period off it and after six months by acne started to reappear :( I wonder if anyone has come off Dianette to start a family? When did you begin to try after coming off it? I think you are meant to wait until you have your first natural period, that's fine, I'm coming off after this last packet and getting a diaphragm for the time being, waiting until I get settled in my job, get a bigger abode and then try, so in the next two years or so :) Thanks.

Dianette is sometimes given to women who present with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) due to its anti androgenic qualities. Such pills can mask symptoms of underlying hormonal imbalances.

I would try and find the underlying cause of the acne as PCOS could well be to blame here.

Thought that Dianette left your system very quickly after taking the last tablet.
