Hiya, I know there's lots of us on the threads ttc on the first month off the pill. I have no experience of periods after contraception because my dd was conceived whilst on the pill then I went straight back on it after pregnancy.

Last one (mercilon) was taken on 5th May. And withdrawal bleed (as usual at the end of a packet) on 8th May. Ahh never thought I'd want a period just to know my cycle! Or better still, a bfp!

Does anyone have experience of how long it can take to have a proper period?

Its really hard to wait and understand whats up with your body. Before ds it took around 3 months for my first natural af to come and was then on a 28 day cycle. this time after my ds, my first natural took 33 days and my second took 41 days. the pill can really screw up your body. im taking a complete vit b complex to help my hormones and hopefully settle af to a more regular pattern. im on my 3 rd cycle on day 27 so haven't a clue when af will turn up tbh. I know its easy to say try not to stress but im sure you have googled lots and am wondering when it will come Smile

I was on marvelon which is suppose to be similar to mercilon.
