Anyone had experience of sperm DNA integrity test ( SDI)?

Hi, we are contemplating having the SDI test done but it can't be done on NHS and costs £300, so I thought I'd ask around first. DH already had normal sperm test don e which came back fine but after 19 months we still haven't had any luck. If we had this done it is just another thing to rule out. Wondered if anyone else has experience of this or even heard of it?

Thanks

Yes olive my DH had normal nhs results but had sperm DNA frag test done last may. Glad we did as his fragmentation came back at 33% which meant 1% chance of live birth. He also had a hidden infection as did I and v strong anti b's for a month and anti oxidant and dietary advice it dropped to 22% then 15% in jan which is normal. Well worth it. Best of luck Smile

what dietary advice did you get?

duggs1976 · 30/05/2013 19:50

Hey hello accidental! DH was told to eat the colours of the rainbow - as many colourful fruit and veg as possible. Did juicing.. Also took anti oxidant supplements. Low red meat, alcohol, caffeine, eat omega rich fish. Brazil nuts, seeds, tomato puree with olive oil (put on a rivita). Grin
