Is it possible I am pregnant?

Hello, I am new to these boards.

I stopped the pill in March after being on it for 10 years. I decided to come off it as me and the husband are planning on trying for a baby in a few months time.

I got my first real period 35 days after my withdrawal bleed. My second period hasn't come yet and it has been 40 days. Shouldn't my periods be getting shorter, not longer?! Anyway, on Saturday, I had bright red spotting. Not loads but it was really bright! On Sunday, I had brown gloopy discharge and that was it (sorry - I know this is TMI!). I've had nothing since. No period has arrived. Could this have been a implantation bleed? Also since then, I've had odd twinges/pains in my stomach and my boobs every now and again have ached slightly.

Is it possible I'm pregnant and that I've tested too early? It is hard to know when to test when I don't even know when my period should be here as I haven't got my regular cycle back yet. Me and my other half haven't exactly been careful as we will be TTC soon anyway so if it happens, it happens. We've been using the pulling out method and he has always pulled out in plenty of time. He has never ejaculated inside me since I've been off the pill. Surely I can't be pregnant from pre-cum?

I'm not sure what to do to be honest. When can I test? My body doesn't quite feel right and the spotting I saw at the weekend seemed odd.

Forgot to add, I took a pregnancy test at the weekend but it came back negative but I am thinking I could have taken it a bit early. As my cycles are not regular, I do not know when I can actually test.

Yes you can get pg from it as the droplets that moisten the tip of the penis to make it ready to enter can contain semen!

maybe he has super sperm!

I had no periods between my 2nd and 3rd as the ovulation (when DS2 was 8 months old) happened to become a baby!

when I realized I was pg I had to have a vaginal scan to date pregnancy - you can ask gp to do refer you, just say that you had 2 inconsistent AFs since off the pill so you have no idea.

your symptoms do suggest you might be pg, the twinges/pains in your stomach in particular could be due to the implantation itself!
I had that really terribly with DS3, somewhat milder with DS5 then DD.

I'd suggest you talk to gp and get a scan if they can refer you.

if no, then wait for 3 days and POAS again. then repeat after another 3 days. no point doing it everyday.

make sure you do it with first pee in the morning - as urine is more concentrated so is the hGC hormone if you are pg.

oh and with DS2 I ovulated later than usual, so I was 3 weeks late when I first tested positive!

Hmmm, I might test again in a few days time just to make sure. I'll be two weeks late then.

I replied to your other thread. I wouldn't go and ask for a scan. If you've only just come off the pill, are using withdrawal accurately and you are getting negative tests, then even if you are pregnant, you are only just pregnant and a scan would show nothing at all. They wouldn't refer you anyway I suspect. They'd tell you to assume you're not pregnant and give it time for your hormones to settle down.

Thanks, I posted my thread in here as well as wasn't sure where it should go (new to the boards!). I think I'm going to give it until the end of the week and test again. I know it is very very unlikely that I am pregnant but my body really is acting strange and I've never spotted like that before. Seems odd.

It's possible that you are pregnant, but, to be frank, you've only just come off hormonal contraception that you have been on for 10 years. You don't have a clue what your body does when it's not affected by synthetic hormones. This spotting and the twinges might be completely normal for you.

The same thing happened to me last month brown gooey discharge and I was late on my period. I am ttc so I thought it may have been an inplantation bleed. I took dozens of tests all negative. My period came 2 weeks late. The body is a funny thing at times.

Yes, There is a chance you could be pregnant from pre-cum. If you are congratulations. xxx
