Hello. I was here for the first thread, but sort of fell by the wayside after my first round failed in Feb. I'm preparing for my first go at FER next cycle now, so thought I might make a reappearance

Yes, I guess so. I did think about waiting till next cycle, but they seem to be 50dayers since ivf, and it is such a long time to wait. Though long cycles mean that a natural round is going to be massively faffy...

My headache has eased up. Fucker stayed for 3 days.... Its still lingering, but I can actually move now!

Hello from Shitsville!

We arrived in thunderously rainy Prague last night and the hotel Krystal is a fecking cesspit. Stinks of chip fat whichever floor you're on, no hairdryer, no kettle(!) and bath towels the size of postage stamps. Horrifically hot at night (no air con) so we had to try to sleep with the balcony door open with a motorway and building site next door. Hilarious! We also woke up itching A LOT and I have a suspicious-lloking bite on my temple and th'usband is scratching his balls (nowt new there, then)

We are very happy to be leaving now for the tram stop which will take us to the train station and then on to Brno! I must tell you something that had me shrieking with laughter at Manchester airport yesterday: we were looking at Lonely Planet's verdict of Brno and it said there is so little to do there that a film was once made which when translated is called Boredom In Brno!

The flight over was hilarious: a gang of twelve slags hens from Liverpool utterly wasted.

I'm having a rubbish day, my scan showed 6 follicles on left side , 1 on other rest are all small :( I was really hopeful I'd get more eggs this time, pissed off with myself! And the whole bloody thing tbh! Acupuncture later so maybe ill feel better.
Had repeat blood test today too so guess me hormones are playing up aswell.
My oestradiol yesterday was 5200 which is high for day 8 isn't it? What does that even mean?!?!

hello thanks for the luck im just back from scan my linings that thin she couldnt measure it and all looked good so i start stimming tomorrow,i asked about the meds burning she said she hadnt heard of that and i can use the pen to inject the menopur has anyone used the pen for that as everyone says inject it slow?,my next scan isnt till tuesday next week thats after a whole week of stimming is this normally right?
the nurse said ill feel better starting stimms .

motor how did your scan go?

Mejust different clinics scan at different times, mine does every other day.

I'm not sure how much longer the dr today said maybe three more days but not to hold him to it.

hi expat how are you doing on the wait?,they said i can use the same pen as iv been using for buserelin but it injects pretty quick.

karb if you have 3 more days you may have lots more by then fingers crossed.

i asked them about ohss as iv got pcos but they didnt say much they said a few women get it and if i feel unwell during stimming let them know but i thought the symptoms came after EC i must be wrong.has anyone had it?

Motor, how is it going with you?

We've just arrived after a lovely, soothing train journey and our Hotel Auschwitz is perfect, just perfect. I emailed my coordinator this morning to say I was expecting some kind of update (when to send th'usband for sperm sample tomorrow, how many follies does our donor have after her final scan, when do I inject the Ovitrelle etc, etc) and it turns out I had the wrong days for EC & ET! I knew it was 12th and 17th but I thought this was Tuesday and Sunday this week. Anyway, it turns out everything is a day later anyway (due to my late period?) meaning EC is now on Thursday (13th) and ET next Tuesday (18th). I'm a little afraid that this leaves me no time to rest after transfer as we fly home that very evening (it also means we have wasted four days here before EC which we really didn't need.)

Never mind..I shall treat it as the holiday it is meant to be (at least for th'usband's sake). I'm off for a funk around this lovely hotel...

...I forgot to mention that our donor has eleven follicles so far. Did I tell you about my FF 'friend' who is here for her second time (the one who also had two BFNs at Cyprus)? She had double donor this time - eggs and sperm - and today she had 2 hatching blasts transferred and an expanded and a blast in the freezer. They are all AA quality!

Hi mejust and juicy I'm okay, though really hoping I will feel more energetic now I have started oestrogen tabs. I've been so tired and having horrible headaches since the downreg injection. Scan showed that womb lining is 2.9 mm which they seem to reckon is as it should be. Now got to build it up to a minimum of 8mm with oestrogen so hopefully that will happen!
You've got an extra days holiday juicy though I imagine you would just rather get on with it. I don't think you need to worry about travelling on the same day as transfer - just make sure you get th'usband to carry your cases and do any of the energetic stuff.
Good news re your scan mejust - all going well so far.
You had a great transfer expat so try to concentrate on the positive.

Karbea that is a good number, people who get higher numbers find that some of them are not mature enough, so end up with around 7 ish that they can use, you still have a a bit more stimming to do

juicy can't do anything about the dates but make the most of you time there, I wouldn't worry, women fly back to the US after ET and all seems to be fine :)

expat i am drinking loads of water just in case! Ive a mildish headache but can deal with that. Do not regret the one you transferred. It only takes one, and the two embies were not good enough for freez g so probably shouldn't have been transferred.

mejust ahh see you are my ginuea pig. Glad today went well for you and why are you requesting info on a condition for which you do not have symptoms and have a low chance of getting . Btw - i was told to inject burselin fairly slowly. Have you been ram raiding it in?
