21 day progesterone level of 84. Is it true that a level this high is a BAD thing?

I have just got my results back for day 21 progesterone blood tests. As it says in the title, they were 84. I always thought the higher the better but when I googled it it said

Over 70 may indicate suboptimal luteal function unless there is multiple ovulation due to either spontaneous occurrence or due to induction by clomiphene

What does this mean? Anyone else in the same situation or know if this is a big problem?

Thanks

It is not a problem. It can sometimes indicate more than one egg, eg twins... but it does not mean that it has to be that, sometimes it is just a high progesterone level with single ovulation, and that is fine. One of the fertility clinics I attended always wanted a level over 60 just to say it was a good ovulation!!!!!!!!! Progesterone also raises and remains high with pregnancy.

So no problem at all with a level of 84. I hope you get pregnant soon, if you are not already!!!!

Thanks for that, it's very reassuring. Due for AF today. Not had my usual spotting yet so I'm hoping. I'm one of those people who prefers to wait before doing a test so that I can live in hope!
