Lol at Kitty's beer belly envy Grin.
Yes Thunder was good to hear some RL experiences about TTc but didn't actually mention that we were trying as MIL was sat right next to me and lovely as she is we'd never hear the end of it if she found out!
This is a sweet tree

BlindKitty · 15/06/2013 08:44

thunder well you got a free shot in this bar of one of two spirits. One had a dead snake in it (which I obviously refused) and the other looked like it had black currant cordial in it, so I chose the latter. Ended up having several. It was the next day when the bar maid said 'you want the snakes blood one again?' Obviously I was horrified and then I had another because it was free

BlindKitty · 15/06/2013 09:39

happy that looks fab! How do you get the chocolate to stick to it? X

MrsB00Mbastic · 15/06/2013 09:42

Haha Kitty jealous of a beer gut! Good effort! Grin The snake was a ref to Thunder's jelly snakes but anyway, tell more about the quaffing of snake blood!! Shock

Thunder am amazoning as we speak...

Hi Happy! What's a sweet tree? And can I have one for my garden?

Right, got to get the house tidied, pick sister up from the station and get ready to go boogie the night away in a wedding marquee... (cue scything rain all day no doubt!)

BlindKitty · 15/06/2013 09:54

I really should get up too. I don't have any plans but housework Sad. Did have an engagement party but I e canceled as too scared to drive so far on the motorway and I'll be surrounded by babies!

happylass · 15/06/2013 13:09

Kitty you can use different methods to stick the sweets on depending on which sweets are being used - melted chocolate, icing sugar, cocktail sticks, cool glue gun. As I'm using wrapped sweets I'm using double sided glue dots. Just been to Hobbycraft to stock up - love it in there!! Will let you know how the sweet tree turns out!

BlindKitty · 15/06/2013 14:16

Ooh happy sounds too good to eat x

barkingtreefrog · 15/06/2013 17:23

kitty he got me a camera. I commented a couple of weeks ago that we really should replace the camera 'we lost' last summer before we go to California. (When I say 'we' lost it, it was last seen in his bag when he went mountain biking). So he suggested he bought me a new one for my birthday. Given the camera belonged to me and he lost it although I can't prove it was him, just that the last time either of us remember seeing it was when he had it I thought it was a bit rich replacing it as a birthday present. But that's just me being ungrateful. He didn't get me a birthday cake either, despite many hints. But then he doesn't do hints.

Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine! After a 5k park run followed by a big breakfast with 26 of my friends (we booked out the local cafe) and then an hour of dog walking with 4 dogs then a mate's bbq, I decided to have a nap. Only DP rang just as I drifted off and I can't get back to sleep so I'm off to take both dogs to join them in the park/pub Grin . No idea whether I'll still be awake for the 40th party tonight!!!!!Shock

barking you have had a busy day!!!! My dh is still in the dog house for forgetting my cake at my 30th birthday party (which I f*ing arranged myself I might add)... He hasn't forgotten since haha

Bunnygirlie · 15/06/2013 21:34

Hey peeps! Very tired here, did a few chores this morning and then spent the afternoon at the food festival, my feet ache! Had a half hour cuddle with my colleagues 5week old, very cute, I really really want one!!!

BlindKitty · 15/06/2013 21:52

Ah Bunny you will do some babs, it's just taking some of us longer than others xxx

Bunnygirlie · 15/06/2013 23:25

Cheers kitty I hope we all get there, and soon! x

Have you seen Caprice is having two babies, a month apart! She gave up trying and got a surrogate and then got pg naturally! Just shows what can happen when you give up!

barkingtreefrog · 16/06/2013 08:16

At a party last night with some of DP's uni mates. One of his close friends he used to live with was asking how he was doing post op. They were having a bit of banter about it. After DP went to the bar his friend turned to me and said 'you know if that's what it takes I'm not sure I want a kid that badly'. I looked at him blankly and said it had nothing to do with having kids, DP had eczema. The look on his face was priceless. Apparently he and his wife have been ttc 6 months and when DP saw him a couple of weeks ago they'd had a bit of a heart to heart about it and DP said we'd been trying a while and that he was having to have a circumcism in order for us to be able to conceive, and that's what had to happen to most men whose partners couldn't get pg, it was very common. His mate had spent the last 2 weeks looking at his willy in the shower and wondering whether the sacrifice was worth it.... Grin Grin
I just asked him why he hadn't immediately Googled it?!?!

Anyway, 9dpo here, so either the vit b6 is working again (I had a 10 day LP last cycle instead of the usual 8) or I'm upduffed... Or both, of course,....
Just loving the waiting game... Wink

ooh barking, fingers crossed!!! And what a silly man. Dr Google is so easy to consult too!

Well I've had a hell of a week so I'm having a lie in today. Work have confirmed that they are crap and just want a free phone answerer so I've spent the last few days clearing up my room and trying to work out which of my machines will fit into the office I'm moving to and which I'll have to keep in a room down the corridor Sad

We have also sold our traction kite on eBay. I never used it as I was too scared of getting blown away on the blooming windy Kent coast here but it's a little sad anyway.
No dtd going on here either. maybe next week. or not as dh is on the late shift and always to tired Angry

barkingtreefrog · 16/06/2013 09:35

Tally I don't understand about work, what do you mean about a free phone answerer? Apologies if you've already explained and I've missed it, I know you've already posted about having to move offices etc.

Strong evidence of me being upduffed was the total lack of alcohol on my birthday - I even chose a nice bottle of red and put it on the table but never opened it. Then yesterday in the beer garden everyone was drinking so I decided to have a belated birthday rum and coke but it just didn't feel right. I can't think of any other reason I wasn't drinking my birthday other than my body telling me I had reason not to Grin .

Oh barking that is hilarious, boys are stooopid, I'm not sure they should breed either Wink

Oh #%$?+>^?$+? AF is comingSad Angry

BlindKitty · 16/06/2013 10:27

Oh bunny just not your month this month xxx

barking how restrained of you! I'm impressed! You must be preggers!

Well you're going to think I'm crazy now but I'm thinking about not reminding dh to have sex (basically I have to instigate everything). He knows what cd it is as it corresponds with the date this month. Reason being is I'm thinking of having a month of for a big blow out at a festival at the end of the month. After 24 months of ttc I don't really think a month off will make any difference. Am I crazy?

BlindKitty · 16/06/2013 11:49

Oh and that's amazing news re caprice, didn't know that. Although think corra has put me of EVER using a surrogate!

happylass · 16/06/2013 11:52

Glad to see you're still firmly on the yellow brick road Barking
Sorry about AF Bunny it's not too early for some Wine
Kitty no you're not crazy. I firmly believe that each of us has to do whatever we think is right to stop ourselves from going insane on this mad journey that is TTC. Go enjoy your blow out!
Next month was going to be our final stab at TTC before taking a break for the wedding but DP has just informed me he's going to be away at the key time Angry Sad. So it's looks like this month is our last proper chance for a while. On a positive note had a massive temp rise this morning at exactly the time I expected. Looks like last months late OV was just a blip and we haven't been totally mistiming shag week for the last 11 months!!
Sweet tree is finally finished and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with myself! Hope my dad appreciates the effort! May upload a pic to my profile so can show it off! Just off for lunch with the family. Have a good day all.

Bunnygirlie · 16/06/2013 12:12

Thanks ladies, I'll be ok in a day or two, it's just those first few days when you know it hasn't worked and you feel totally crushed. You guys know how it is!
Just trying to hold it together till tonight as we have family for lunch. Will be cracking open the pink fizz for fathers day happy

No I don't think you are crazy kitty, why not just enjoy yourself and go crazy at this festival!

happy we wanna see a piccie of that sweetie tree!

After two months of being really good at dtd timings, I think I have to just accept that this isn't going to happen naturally, DH has jizz test this week so hope to see new doctor week after and scream hope and pray for a FC referral! I really would like to lose half stone before getting pg (and putting on loads more) so gonna try and be good for the next month and get to that bloody gym!

Have good Sunday peeps! x

BlindKitty · 16/06/2013 12:28

Well just ended up dtd oops. Was trying to argue with dh and claim he knew the date cooresp

BlindKitty · 16/06/2013 12:30

Well just ended up dtd oops. Was trying to argue with dh and claim he knew the date corresponds with the cd this month and ended up saying it was the 16th January! Ffs really need to get my words strait in arguments lol

Tallyra · 16/06/2013 13:29

lol kitty. I always stumble over my words when I'm either arguing or under pressure, I hate it!

Re the phone answerer - My room at work is being removed for improvements to the boys toilets (yep, it was a really nice place to work in the summer...). So they promised to find me somewhere else to work - I'm the 'reprographics technician' which means I print and photocopy stuff (yet another really good point of where I work... not!). So they eventually put their heads together and come up with 'let's put her in reception, with one of her machines in the back office and all the rest of them in a room down the corridor and nowhere that I can see for the paper...'
So basically, I am replacing the lady that left last year that they were too stingy to replace at the time. I spend time in the office anyway, helping them out when it's busy, so the next logical step is to get me in there full time of course. I won't be paid any more, and I will no longer have a quiet refuge where I can listen to my music and read books on my phone if I get a long job in - I'll be an office bunny instead AngrySad. I feel like a spoilt child whining about it, but really, it's not what I was employed for and it pisses me off!!!

happylass · 16/06/2013 14:08

Right I've either posted about 10 of the same photo of said sweet tree or I haven't posted any at all! Can't work out how to do it on my phone! Confused
