help!!! checked test after 10mins and there's a faint line, evap or not????

I tested this morning as I've joined a gym and just wanted to make sure (dp wishes) that I wasn't preggo before doing a workout later on. We've been trying for 5 years no luck and I've just started the downregging drugs for ivf. Anyway, I popped downstairs to make a cuppa, checked it, neg showed dp and we were happy for me to go ahead.
I carried on getting ready for work and I'd chucked the test back in the box ready to throw away. After 10mins or so maybe longer my dp took it out of the box to have a look and now there is a definate line. In all my years of testing I've always checked and checked way after the time scale and never seen a line. Is it an evap line or should I possibly not risk going to the gym, after 5 years if it is a possible bfp I don't want anything to go wrong, advice please!!!! Xx

Mmm does seem promising , maybe not enough hormones to change straight away . Good luck op will keep everything crossed for you :)

You should be fine to go to the gym even if you are pregnant, but you should do another test, maybe get one of the digital ones so you can be more sure?

It sounds promising, but you are just going to have to test again!

Go to the gym anyway - it's fine to work out if you are pg.

Thankyou ladies, I'm so shocked at this I can't think straight. Wasn't expecting it in a million years, so focused on ivf no 2 I just tested to keep dp happy and we didn't really even try last month, Ikd reached the end of my tether with it all tbh. I know in my heart its prob nothing but I'll re-test tomorrow to make sure. I think I will postpone the gym, I know its safe but after all these years I just want to be careful if it does turn out to be our first ever bfp xx

This is how I find out about both my pregnancies, first pregnancy I was just about to throw test out as negative when I caught it in a different light and though oh is that a line

Oooh, i'm excited for you. We had the same with DS, a totally white screen which i held up in every light then when i went to throw it away later that day it had a faint pink line.

My line is now 5 years oldGrin

My 'very faint line' is now in Year 1. I checked my test around half and hour after I had thrown it in the bin.

Good luck Smile. I think I tested about ten times after that first one just to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing...

One poster on the egg buddies thread got her BFP while downregging. It can happen! You should probably let your clinic know though - they can do a blood test to check. You would need to stop the downregging drugs and might need some extra hormones to replace the ones they are "shutting down".

What type of test was it?

I have often had lines after the time limit that turned into nothing on a tesco test.

You need to go to the GP for a blood test to check for HCG. The result can be back in a few hours/next day and you will know whether to keep taking the drugs.

It was only a cheapo test so anything can happen with those I guess xx

Mine was a cheapo test with a faint line & that's now changed to a very strong line! X

Cheapo tests are usually very good. When it comes to PG tests price doesnt really make a difference. Pound shop jobbies are very sensitive.

I got a +ve at 10DPO on a First Response. I think the pink dye tests are less prone to evap lines for some reason so might you try one of them?

Have tested again this morning..two pink lines came up striaght away! Omg!! I can't believe this is happening. Fertility clinic have advised to stop all drugs and see my dr this afternoon. I'm terrified Its just a chemical preg and af is on its way and now my ivf would have been cancelled!! As u can tell I'm a worrier!! Xx
