Maternity leave query - local government

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section - wasn't sure where to put it!

Just wondered if anyone knows whether they count continuous service for maternity benefits in local government, or if you move councils still have to have been at your current one for 6 months?

Thanks :)

Hi, sorry I can't help with your question, but think you should ask MN for your Q to be moved to the Employment section :)

I work for the local authority and all of this info is in our maternity policy, you might have one on your intranet? You could ask HR, but might want to do so anonymously!

Thanks for the replies - I hadn't spotted the 'Work' section Blush

Got the answer through a friend of a friend now, didn't want to alert HR!
