We are Barren. We are Evil, on account of having left procreating until our 30s. We are Selfish, thinking only of careers and money and cars and holidays. And lastly, we are Hags. Welcome to the BESH gin palace. Babydusters and instadiffers need not apply.

What's the timetable euro love? I suppose two FCFUs in one month were out of the question :(

Thanks Jeff.

Yep, twink, unfortunately. And it would have been a bit of a miracle as we only had sechsfails pre-ov.

rasp starting now - I will call the clinic tomorrow to arrange the first scan, probably for next weekend. I reckon EC will be a bit more than a week after that as my cycles have got a little longer since the mc, I'd guess around 27/28 May. I just have to hope my ovaries do their thing. My cycles haven't been too bad post-mc but I don't have the clockwork 14/16 alternating ov that I had before. It'll be comforting to see what is going on in there with the scans anyway.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 13/05/2013 07:46

Morning hags!

Sorry about droidal invasion and imminent IVF, euro. We can be sort of cycle buddies though btw don't count on cycles to stay longer post-MC, mine we long-ish for two, ridiculously short for two and then settled on my previous 26/27 day pattern. Off to the clinic for the baseline scan for probably the final IUI this morning. Although I am having cold feet re: IVF so might put it off for another few months.

Welcome back from work stress, hope you relax a little norf.

Massive well done for cleaning the bathroom walls hes Hmm you can do ours if you fancy.

Good luck with the lap, cap'n everything has been said. You will be fine. But do talk to them. I have a huge head, but if they fit most hats look fab. So looking fwd to some pics frank.

On other news we spent the weekend by the seaside so I am all weather worn and happy. I managed a 5 mile run, a 7 mile walk and a little 3 mile jog. So my running is going strong, but my legs now ACHE.

Waves at the other hags.

CaptainMoll · 13/05/2013 09:20

Sorry about droid Euro
Drizz that sounds like a lovely weekend.

I had a little chat with BE yesterday about how this has all been for him, which was nice. He mostly just feels frustrated that there's nothing he can do to help, apart from sechsing, and that he has no way of really knowing what it's like for me with all the probing and slice n' dice. He did say that he'd talked to a colleague about it, as it transpired this colleague was TTC for about 3 years. Colleague ended up going to see these people who diagnosed that both he and his partner were suffering from a very mild, pick-it-up-from-toilet-seats venereal infection, which caused no symptoms, isn't a thing most STD tests look for, but was causing their 'unexplained' infertility. They were both given a dose of antibiotics, and hey presto, two children later, they're all fine.

It's intriguing, no? Obvs they will charge shiny pennies for their services, but I thought it might be of interest for all the 'unexplained' amongst our ranks.

CaptainMoll · 13/05/2013 09:22

PS some of it looks a bit snake oil to me, but the VD detection seemed promisingly matter-of-fact..

EuroShaggleton · 13/05/2013 10:26

Wow, lots of running drizz! Well done!

moll did they say what it was? It sounds like it could be something like ureaplasma (which I tested positive for, when I did the Greek menstrual blood tests, but have done nothing about as the jury seems to be out on whether that one affects fertility).

HesterShaw · 13/05/2013 10:40

Hah! Things like that give me The Rage. Who the fuck has the money to buy EVERYTHING organic? And I have never even heard of half those foods. All nutrition lists like that do for me is make me feel guilty that I'm not trying hard enough. I feel guilty enough already.

HesterShaw · 13/05/2013 10:41

I will now look at the VD section. Sorry Moll.

OP posts:
CaptainMoll · 13/05/2013 11:18

Don't be sorry Hest - I'm undecided how much of it is hoakum. The electro-magnetic section made me snort derisively.
Afraid I've no idea what the infection was that the couple had - I only know it was minor and the NHS had missed it.

HesterShaw · 13/05/2013 11:47

I haven't shagged anyone else since 1999! I wonder if that could apply to me.

No doubt they will try and make us feel guilty for Not Trying Hard Enough on this, our month off. What's the bleeding point? I know it won't work. I'd rather get a good night's sleep, to be perfectly honest :)

Just lie to them hest. Tell them you've been existing on a diet of organic oysters, dark chocolate, and a veritable parade of moments of pure lurve.

HesterShaw · 13/05/2013 12:21
Grin

Oh yes pure lurve.

I wonder how that pure lurve woman is getting on. She may be giving birth by now, in a pool of course, surrounded by tweeting birds and fluttery butterflies.

And I expect she's experiencing positive pain - you know, how natural labour feels?

evilgiraffe · 13/05/2013 12:25

Bet there's whale music too. Or pan pipes.

Fucking pan pipes Angry

HesterShaw · 13/05/2013 12:44

EuroShaggleton · 13/05/2013 12:45

Heh. You're making me laff this morning.

I'm booked in for my first scan of IVF cycle#2 on Friday. It'll only be day 5 so too early to see anything but that is when they want me in.

TWinklyLittleStar · 13/05/2013 12:56

That's good though euro, they're obviously doing belt-and-braces in case your cycle's playing silly buggers and things are happening early.

I hate fucking pan pipes. I almost want to buy some just so I can take them outside and stomp on them.

HesterShaw · 13/05/2013 12:57

Almost cycle buddies, Euro :)

There is a weird smell in my house. I'm finding it harder to concentrate on my work than usual. I have looked for the usual suspects - bin is outside, litter tray has been scrubbed with bleach, no rotting fruit anywhere, have chucked out the dead flowers. What can it be? The hoover is broken at the moment and I'm waiting for a part, but surely unhoovered carpet can't smell that much Confused. It's just a kind of minging, unfresh smell. I can't mop the kitchen floor until the hoover is mended. The broom is broken as well

OP posts:
TWinklyLittleStar · 13/05/2013 12:59

I'm saying that's good, but how the fuck would I know? I'm just guessing. Shut up winks.

HesterShaw · 13/05/2013 13:02

Yeah, shut up Winks GrinGrinGrin. YEAH.

HadALittleFaithBaby · 13/05/2013 13:02

hest have you checked down/round the sofa? We had a weird smell. Never worked out what it was but it went away when I pulled the sofa out and cleaned round it...

The more I think about it, the more I think pure lurve laydee had hairy hands. Too good to be true?!

TWinklyLittleStar · 13/05/2013 13:09

Nah faify, she posted on a few other freds. I didn't just search for it, no. Moment of pure lurve was end of July last year so she's probably sneezed it out at home by not.

TWinklyLittleStar · 13/05/2013 13:11

hest could there be Things in your walls? Apparently there were mice in the walls once, before I lived here. HWCA's evil ex must have scared them off, hahaha. Or damp. Sometime damp smells funny. Or a blockage in your drains, or pipe coming away from the sinks?
