How reliable digital tests?

Hi just wondering how reliable people found the digital tests that can be used a few days before AF due? AF due Friday (ish - a bit irregular at moment). But...DH going overseas on Thursday for 10 days!! He thinks we should wait (or I should just show him the test on Skype!!) but if AF hasn't appeared by Thursday I'm wondering about testing anyway? If no AF not sure I can bear to wait 10 days...but would really like him to be here in person!

Title should be How reliable ARE digital tests!! Not awake yet!

If testing before AF due I would use a first response test.
Digital (especially clear blue) require a higher amount of hcg to get a positive.

Would you believe it - AF has started!! Grrr!! Was imagining all sorts of pregnancy symptoms yesterday too! Oh well maybe next month! Smile
