Hey ladies.

Am I clutching at straws or has anyone really got pg from just dtd once?

We dtd cd15 and that's it but I OVd on cd17.

Could it happen?

You only need one sperm to fertilise an egg, so of course you could get pregnant after one shag. Lots of babies are conceived unexpectedly after a one off.

I've got pg 3 times from only dtd once, 1 of those ended in a mc though.

It happened to us the second time around. The day I had my could removed Hmm

I was expecting months of trying again. It was a shock, but I know we were very, very lucky.

Yup, just put my dtd-once-in-my-cycle-couldn't-possibly-be-pregnant 10 month old ds to bed.

I am living proof. My mum naively thought it couldn't possibly happen the absolute first time when it using a condom.....

Yep. And ridiculously early in my cycle too. Cd7 iirc.

Ttc put the fear of god into dp and there was a few times we dtd once and got pg (recurrent mc)

I'm sure I got pg the first time we tried, twice. If not the first time, the first month. First ended in a mmc and second time we had dd1. Dd2 took 5 months, and I was very blase the first month, it didn't enter my head I wouldn't be pg.

One-shag DS is now 2.5, sitting next to me watching Peppa Pig.

We have recently started TTC #2 and I am Shock that it didn't happen after dtd once.

My 17-month DS was 1 month, and I'm currently 11 weeks with a 1 shag preg, wasn't TTC yet but OH slipped ;) Am 36 and still breastfeeding. Am a bit shellshocked but clearly have a lot to be grateful for really as long as this pg is OK.

Yes it can happen! Dtd once after recovering from leg surgery and got a positive!
