When will AF be regular?

I stopped taking the combined pill nearly 4 months ago. I'm waiting for my 3rd period in that time (definitely not pg). My last 2 cycles were 5 and 7 weeks. At what point should I be regular again and when should I worry if I'm not?

Were you regular before taking the pill? I didn't 'regulate' when I came off the pill and I'd been taking it for more than 10 years. I did however conceive my DS. I didn't have a cycle for 18months after he was born (I did EBF so wasn't worried about this) and I would say my cycles are only becoming 'more' regular now, 2yo after birth of son.

The point of all my waffle was just to say that sometimes the pill can mask an already irregular cycle.

I was on it for 8 years, and was immediately regular when I came off it. In fact, my periods were more regular than they had been before I went on it, and they never went back to being as heavy as they were before. (disclaimer: I quickly became pregnant and am still breastfeeding my 2 1/2 year old so that statement might come back to bite me in the butt)

I was pretty regular before I went on the pill and I was on it for 5 years. Cycles so far have been 32 days, 49 days and 35 days. And always very light periods. I'm not sure whether I should be worried or nit.

When I came off the poll after 10 Yeats it took about eight months to regulate (but I did ov during that time...) so don't be worried yet, although a chat with you're GP might help if you are really worried!

I think it's hard to predict - last time I came off the pill (Cerazette) I ended up regular on the dot with a 31-day cycle straight away. This time, now that we're actually planning to ttc, AF hasn't come even though I've been off the pill for three weeks.
