Newbies very welcome provided they meet the strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

blindkitty this is the article I showed DP

Boodle I'm probably going to be on CD3 when I go for my fc appointment, but I've given up trying to work out where it would be best to be as it's all futile really, I'm totally in the hands of the waiting list! Should find out on Tuesday when DP's operation is as that will put us out of action for 6 weeks anyway, which is potentially two cycles out if it falls at the most inconvenient time!! Ah well, at least that would be two cycles of knowing it's not going to happen and no symptom spotting or waiting! I'll probably still PIMP and temp though as I'll want to know whether the vitamin B6 is lengthening my LP....

Boodlebum · 14/04/2013 13:04

Oh no! how can I whack Thunder now she has toddled over all innocently? Oh wait...I have no mercy. WHACK!

Yorkie, hopefully they'll get him signed up for one then; if my DH can go from iffy SA to good SA, then I'm pretty sure it works the other way too! Also, and I'm sorry to mention this because it's not the nicest thing to say, but poor sperm quality has been linked with increased miscarriage rates; try googling it.

yorkiebilb · 14/04/2013 13:18

yep I have mentioned that previously to him. Just because the sperm meets the egg doesn't mean the quality is going to be any good!

Thundercatsarego · 14/04/2013 13:19

YOUCH!

I have just read about some fertility trials taking place in London. If this bfp doesn't stick I'm thinking it would be a great idea, you get all sorts of tests without having to wait. Has anyone else considered this?

Bunnygirlie · 14/04/2013 14:11

Ugh now that was tough, a church full of children, babies and 2 very pregnant women Sad I could have cried at any second!

yorkiebilb · 14/04/2013 14:11

I'd be very interested in this merkin Do you have a link or can you point me in the right direction please?

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 14:22

Argh, sorry Bunny that sounds horrible Sad.

I saw a heavily pregnant women in Tescos the other day. The immediately thought in my head was 'bitch!' I was Shock at myself - I had no idea of her story, I was just insanely jealous!!!

Hope you've got something better to do this afternoon Smile.

I'm lesson planning. I have actually started, but am now discovering all the flaws of starting so late - I'm realising all the documents that I don't have and really need in order to do it properly, but it's too late to wait for school to open tomorrow!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 14:32

Can't link on my phone but looked at imperial college research and NHS clinical trials

yorkiebilb · 14/04/2013 14:47

Oh sorry it was so horrible bunny. Had a similar experience just after my mc so know how you feel. Have you got anything nice planned the rest of today to try and help distract you?

Thanks merkin found it. It does look v interesting. I think I will email them. Are you going to?

Bunnygirlie · 14/04/2013 15:22

Yep horrible, so a few prayers were said in church, hope him up there is listening!

Now home alone sulking, hubby had to go out, boo!

Pipbin · 14/04/2013 15:26

Ah the jumble of numbers was me trying to use an emoticon via my phone, I didn't think it would work.

Ugh, back to school tomorrow and I will need to talk to the head about time off to move AND to go to the IVF clinic.

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 15:41

Yorkie I'm going to wait a week to see if AF arrives.have also decided that if AF arrives I may spend the £ to go for a full set of private tests. I'm v lucky to have the money to make this an option, as for some reason I am very uncomfortable going to the doc to ask for this, potentially because I expect to be fobbed off.
Bunny, plenty of room on the sofa. Do you need cake?

Bunnygirlie · 14/04/2013 16:02

(slumps onto sofa) Thanks merks I am thinking about bashing a Lindt bunnies head in and scoffing the lot with a cuppa in a min!

Getting nowhere fast with the lesson planning, having another break...

How long have you been ttc Merkin? As soon as it's a year they can't fob you off, you shouldn't feel uncomfortable. On the other hand if it won't stretch you to go private you'd get answers far quicker!

Fx you won't even need to think about it Smile.

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 16:07

I'm trying to improve my diet Bunny and we're eating lots of fish and protein and I haven't actually had chocolate for two weeks!!! I don't think I have anyway, unless you count the chocolate chips in the mint choc chip ice cream I had for dessert on Friday which would be unfair I've been eating a lot of cheese though as we were given a massive block of very tasty cheddar left over from the wedding last weekend and I don't think that's a good thing....

I think I want chocolate now.

And I've just realised it's raining and my washing that was probably just about dry 5 minutes ago is still outside. Marvelous.

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 16:10

Bunny be glad to know your Lindt is safe from me, I only like Cadbury!
I'm on CD10 (32 - 35 day cycles) so nearly a year, tho we were NTNP before then. The tests weren't as expensive as I was thinking privately so I may 'treat' myself. My weird tummy churning pains have just returned as per last month!

Bunnygirlie · 14/04/2013 16:25

I'll eat most choc to be fair, not a dairy milk fan though unless it's egg shaped!!!

Cycle 11 here, but came off pill 14 months ago so that's how long we have been TTC according to my docs Wink so just started the basic tests, I'm gonna see what blood tests and jizz test results are and I'd be tempted to go private too. What tests will you go for merk?

OP posts:
Thundercatsarego · 14/04/2013 16:30

Yummmmmm those round red Lindt chocolates- I love them.

I'm crampy today. Annoying 6-7 day before af comes. bunny well done for getting through it- time for some serious indulgence? I quite like having the house to myself sometimes- I watch all kinds of crap tv and cuddle the dog on the sofa etc.

I think the fertility trial is a great idea!

Thundercatsarego · 14/04/2013 16:37

Ps I have cheese and Wine shhhhh

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 16:58

My next question was going to be which tests... The place I looked at had loads of stuff I've never even heard of. The standard seems to be LH, FSH, E2(?),AMH. Then they had extras such as other bloods, ultrasound, lap and dye etc. what's the thoughts?

Bunnygirlie · 14/04/2013 17:42

I did it, I bashed the bunnies brains in with a rolling pin Grin see my photo lol

Thundercatsarego · 14/04/2013 17:48
