Help!!

Hi guys!

I am in my first month of ttc my second child and I feel a bit baffled by all the ovulation and cycle stuff so I was hoping somebody could help me

Basically I have been tracking my periods for the past 6 months and I have a 32 day cycle. I started my lasy period on 21st march and tested positive on 1st April which I think is cd12 with an opk. When people are counting how many dpo they are do they count the day they tested positive with an opk as day one or is day one the day after?! Hope that makes sense

Last question! Everyone talks about the 2ww after ovulating which for me would be 15th april but I am not due my next period until 22nd april so when should I test?!

I hope all that makes sense and would appreciate any help or advise that anybody could offer!

You usually ovulate 24-72 hrs after a positive OPK. Was the test line definitely as dark as the control line when you tested? I ask, because that is early to get an LH surge in a 32 day cycle.

You are counting dpo after ov, not after OPK and if you only have the OPK to go on the best you can do is guess.

Test once your period is late for the most accurate result.

Yes the test line was definitely darker, I have been testing later than this but was getting constant negatives which is why this month I thought I would try testing earlier and to my surprise I got my positive on cd12. My periods are still a bit all over the place after coming off the pill in september, the last couple of months they have been 29 day cycles but before that I had a 38 day cycle which is what is pushing my average up!

Ah ok. The luteal phase (the bit between ov and period) is usually 12-16 days, which is why I was saying that day 12 would be early for a positive OPK on a 32 day cycle. It's less early on a 29 day cycle.

So you will probably ov arounds days 13-15 based on your positive, OPK, and get AF 12-16 days after ov day.
