Okay, we've only been trying for three months but for fuck's sake WHY am I not pregnant by now?!

I've cut out caffeine, I'm taking folic acid and B6, I'm using an ovulation pee stick thing to monitor my cycle, I'm using that Preseed lube, we're shagging EVERY BLOODY DAY... What am I doing wrong? I was so sure we'd nailed it this month.

It's so frustrating.

Am now thinking about trying Agnus Castus - anyone had any experience with this?

HI 3 months isnt that long hun, tho to you its an eternity I know xx

I have been trying over a yr and I think I'm going slightly mad. Im doing all what delia said.

Im going to try this when I finally come on this month spermmeetseggplan.com/ Loads swear by it, so I'm either going to make a baby or a fire with all that friction hahahaha

I'm so disheartened, Im on day 34 today I think, but I think I will come on, def no symptoms of pg.

I have moved from pregnacare to boots own ones as many have said they got caught on them, and pregnacare lengthens your cycle, so that may explain whats going on with me.

Hope we can be bump buddies soon babes xx

Pregnacare = horse pills.

Where are the flipping pills made by a woman that taste of chocolate or dissolve in wine???

My OH has had leprosy twice according to Google. According to me, he's been an idiot twice.

RubySlippers77 · 05/04/2013 20:09

delia - thank you for making me smile the most I have all day! Where indeed are those pills!! I have the cheapy Wilkos version and they're not pleasant either...

I think your OH is more likely to have had the dreaded man flu :)

Early on TTC it is all you think about so I can really understand however 3 months is nothing!
I've been trying for over a year and now awaiting further tests for PCOS.
I've gone through every emotion from simply just feeling fed up and impatient to complete emotional wreck!

One of my closest friends is now pg within 3 months of trying and whilst I'm over joyed for her, I have been at rock bottom.

Everyone says try not to stress - which is actually impossible, but you must try.

RubySlippers77 · 09/04/2013 12:16

I too am very impatient, have gone from not being bothered a couple of months ago, to wanting a baby NOW after a PG scare last month. Really woke me up and made me think about things. Now of course everyone seems to be PG and with no effort. I'm sure that isn't the case but that's how it seems.....

I have a doctor's appt then so will see what they say. Time isn't on our side (I'm 35 and DP is 41) so the sooner the better really!

That's a good idea about the plans. We're going away for the weekend which will be nice (and wouldn't be practical with a baby!) so I guess we should look at it as making the most of our time together.

Confused if only someone could reassure me that it would all be ok in the end and we'd definitely have a baby on the way within the next six months or so, all would be well. Sadly my psychic powers aren't working on that or the lottery numbers.....

Doctors will hopefully be helpful, and getting fit is also a plan, am going to sign up for a Race for Life or two as motivation!!

moggle · 09/04/2013 16:09

yes I heartily recommend getting fit as a good distraction! It has worked well for me. Especially if you are the obsessive type, get an iphone app to record calories burned, km run, etc, it's a good alternative to mooning over your period dates app... No need to worry about overdoing it on the fitness too (in terms of effect on fertility) as long as you don't lose lots of weight very quickly and your cycle stays the same. Also don't not book holidays just in case you get pregnant, it's bad enough TTC month after month unsuccessfully without anything big like that to look forward to. I mean don't necessarily book a crazy non-refundable white water rafting holiday for 9 months time, be sensible, but most hols are just fine when you're pregnant and even better when you're not, especially if they're all inclusive like our week in Egypt next month is... can't wait and honestly if I'm pg this month I will be a teensy bit annoyed that I won't be able to make full use of all that free booze and seafood!! (only like 0.00001% though).

RubySlippers77 · 09/04/2013 16:20

I have to say my app wouldn't have much to record at the moment in terms of running data BUT it will do soon, am going to work out a get fit plan today or tomorrow with my friend who wants to do a 10K run in July. That would be the furthest I've ever run so it's a challenge!!

Also work are doing the Three Peaks at the end of June and have asked me to join. It's more being a big wuss than thinking about being PG that's stopping me with that though.....

All inclusive holiday to Egypt? I am very jealous. No holidays booked at the moment - it'll probably be a last minute one for me if I do anything this year!

RubySlippers77 · 10/04/2013 17:42

Just back from the GP and apparently new guidelines are that you won't be referred for fertility testing until you've been trying for a year and a half. Pah. Clearly I'm too impatient!! He did say that 20% of women fall pregnant within 3 months, 50% by six months and 80% by a year so I guess the NHS is trying to save a few quid by making us all wait!

deliasmithy · 23/05/2013 12:36

Just wanted to update to say I have just got back from my GP, was upfront with her ive been trying since September, and shes booked me in for day 1-5 and day 21 blood tests and a scan. I said I was prepared to pay and she said she was happy to refer me to a clinic if any problems appear, even before a year is up, and let them decide what I have to pay for or not .

So, I admit my GP is lovely, buts its always worth a punt to go see them.

PuppyMummy · 23/05/2013 18:18

agree with the others.
were on cycle 17, dtd every day or eod from day 7 to 20 and not a whiff of a bfp...
hang in there, you get used to the disappointment each cycle.
