On off spotting/brown discharge since 10/03/13

Dr says hormones, test says not pregnant. What is it??? Never happened before. I was due a period on the 18th march but have been having brown discharge since then and on off red spotting.

I'm so confused

Have not been since. No sign of drips. Spotting/brown discharge has stopped though. But just don't know what to expect now or when to expect a period!

Iv had something similar when I had an infection after a cervical biopsy. I assumed you would have mentioned that though! Has the doctor actually had a look at your cervix?
