Optimum for age to have kids

Is there one?!
I was 21 when I had dd, am 25 now and dp is 33 and feel soooo much more ready for another one now than I did before! That said, my auntie had her first at 42 and admits to feeling energy less and "out of touch" with her teen. So is there an optimum age?

I don't think so. I think there are more optimum stages of life to have children and some people reach those sooner some people later.
