Hi
I am new to mumsnet but would be grateful for any advice here.
After ttc #2 for 3 months, i felt odd at work last monday, decided to do an early response test and got a very faint positive. Because I am stupid, I went and got more tests and over the next few days, did more 'first pee of the day' tests. They all came back negative! What is going on?
I am not due my 'really quite regular' AF until today or tommorrow, so was the original test wrong (because it was too early really to test. Or was it a chemical pregnancy? I am so upset because I really thought I was pregnant. I have been getting all the symptoms (slight aching, pulling feel in belly, sicky dizzy feelings, tiredness and a weird taste in my mouth). I do not get any of these symtoms before AF , apart from the cramps (but they are a lot worse with AF and don't usually start until the day before). I am still getting these symptoms now.
Do you think its just my body being cruel or is there still a slight chance?
Any help much appreciated.

Hi there. I did a test about 4 days before as had constant cramping and knew it was too early but the test was negative, couldn't shake feeling off so did one the day before and it came up positive straight away. Don't worry we took 6 months ttc, we also told people we were trying- that was a mistake as just added huge pressure. If it hasn't happened this time then don't worry, when the timing is right if will happen.

Thanks. We also told a few people but not many. Don't think there's as much pressure as its our second. Didn't try at all for #1 and think that's making this harder for me. Didn't realise it would be this difficult. Stupid I know.
Still no AF but symptoms still strong as ever but have not got any more tests- got to stop wasting money!

I think you've just tested too early at your peril. It could be a chemical pregnancy...equally it could be that you're pregnant but only the sensitive test picked it up so early. If your AF is due soon, I'd retest in a couple of days - try a Superdrug test which aren't too expensive but are sensitive, rather than a digital - and you're more likely to get an accurate result (assuming AF doesn't arrive in the mean time!).

Ok. Know you're probably getting sick of me asking questions but got a weird new couple of symptoms. Still no AF but getting weird pinking brown stuff and few red spots- never happens at or before AF (sorry tmi). And I'm getting weird butterfly feelings at bottom of belly- can only liken them to the first few soft kicks I felt when pregnant with DD!
Anyone know what this is or is my brain really trying to make things up now?
Any help most welcome x x

Ah it's ok to ask!

I got lots of spotting during TTC (although none the month I conceived). Could be implantation bleeding, could just be spotting. Time will tell.

The flutters are more likely to be wind than anything. Absolutely no way it's baby yet! :)
