Strong ovulation pain and LH surges

I've been trying to conceive #3 for 10 months now with no joy. Basic blood tests results show that my hormones are ok but I'm wondering if the strong ovulation pains I feel along with the long LH surges (2-3 days of positive OPK's) could be indicative of fertility issues. The pains feel like period cramps and I usually need painkillers to take the edge off them. Has anyone experienced this before?

hi I have always been able to feel when I ovulate as I had a day of very mild cramps but for the last few months I have been having the same kind of pain, it literally takes my breathe away and I need painkillers to be able to function normally, ie doing the school run, toddlers. however that doesn't really help your situation I'm afraid other than to know your not the only one! I have two children aged 6 and 2.5 and I am 34.

Thanks, it helps to know that its not just me. At first I thought I was imagining it but now its very clear that its due to ovulation and its quite intense sometimes. I'm just hoping it isn't a sign of other issues and simply shows I have a strong ovulation each month.
