No EWCM for last 2 cycles....am I ovulating?

Sorry for the basic question but if you have no EWCM, does that mean you are not ovulating? I have been using clear blue OPKs this month and not had a smiley face yet so feeling pretty despondent. Has this happened to anyone else? TIA xx

Hey whiterose sorry I don't have an answer for you but I was wondering the same thing. I haven't noticed any for months I don't think, started taking evening primrose oil to see if that helped but I am on day 16 now and no signs of ov at all? Xx

Do you normally get EWCM mid cycle? I get loads and its really noticable but I know we're all different.

ELA88, sorry you are experiencing this too. I wondered about EPO as well (I read it was good for CM) but wasn't sure if you can just decide to start taking it?? Do you need advice from a GP/pharmacist?

BabyFaker, yes I've been checking internally but it just feels creamy. When you check internally, do you get EWCM every time at that time of the month? What I mean is, can it feel creamy/watery too or will you just get EWCM? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Shybairns, I've only been monitoring it for about 4 cycles and def had it for the first 2 cycles but nothing since, so not really sure what is normal for me.

Hello

I think watery can also be fertile cm. I usually get ewcm but didn't this month but I know I ovulated because I'm taking my temps and had a clear rise around cd16. I have ovulated as late as cd23 so worth keeping on checking.

I haven't been checking internally, I just assumed it would be in my knickers! Thank you for telling me that I shall have to investigate! With the evening primrose oil I just started taking 1500mg a day from cd1 till cd14 and now I've stopped because I assume I might have ovulated but not sure. It doesn't seem to have made a noticeable difference! I didn't consult a gp I just googled it! Xxx

Try the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book. It has everything you ever wanted (and didn't want!) to know about EWCM and charting your temps and stuff

CD22 and still no smiley face on my OPK. Hmm

Have had two potential bits of EWCM but find it so hard to be 100% sure. Giving that we are DTD lots, it could be the after effects of that.

whiterose I have EWCM each cycle and don't OV Confused

If you don't think you are, I would make an appointment to see your GP. Try a sympathetic one; they are more likely to listen and understand

Just got a smiley face on my OPK so guess I must be ovulating! Yay! Feel so relieved as I'd convinced myself that I wasn't. I guess it just means that not everyone's body follows the rule book.

Forthelove, really sorry that you are not ov'ing. Do you have a sympathetic GP that can help you? I recently went to see an acupuncturist who specialises in fertility and feel so much more positive about the future having spoken to her. Wishing you all the best for a BFP xx
