Hi there!! Just purchased clear blue fertility monitor which was quite expensive. Just wondered if anyone on here has used it and found it good??

A friend of mine had one as she and her DP didn't want to use conventional contraception unless she was in an ovulation stage. I think it was quite reliable in terms of telling her when that was - which if you do want to get pregnant, must be quite helpful.

I have and i think it is brilliant. Tried for a year using opk and fell pg first month using cbfm. Have also fallen pg twice more since in the 1st or 2nd month, however i lost both those pregnancies. So am hoping for more luck with my cbfm soon. Good luck! I also told a friend about it, she had tried for a year a d fell pg first month too.

Hi, thanks for comments and sorry for your losses maybeoneday. Sending lots of baby dust your way and hope your lucky again soon.

We've been trying for 5 long years and I'm willing to give anything a try at any cost. I'm on day 6 today so did my first test and was very surprised to see my fertility is high already!!! Has given me some hope as I don't really jump on dp until at least day 10 ( we're busy people and sometime u just have to plan whenb ttc! Not very romantic I know) so imagine if I do ovulate really early, I've been missing the chance most months! I have used opk's before but they haven'tt worked for us. I ususlly ovulate day 13 or 14 according to them. Guess we'll just wait and see.

Hi blondebaby

I have just started using the CBFM and for my first cycle I got a high on day six too (and I was surprised as well) but then I went on to have highs all month (all 19 sticks!) The last stick was a low and then I came on AF the next day Hmm So I did some research and apparently it is quite common for the first month whilst it calibrates your baseline hormones. That said, for other people it has worked first month out.

I am on cycle 2 now and it has been much more illuminating Smile. Asked me to test on day 6 again - 2 Lows, 4 Highs, 2 Peaks, 1 H and this morning a low) I also temp and record my temperatures on Fertility Friend and it indicates that I O'd on the first day of the peak which was CD12.

I know it isn't the cheapest option but I like the fact that it will show when my high period starts so we can get going on DTD at the right time, which according to FF is the three days before Ovulation, on the day of ovulation and the day after for good measure!

5 years is a long time TTC! Have you seen a doctor to see if there are any particular reasons for not conceiving? Good luck.

Thankyou! Yes, we have unexplained infertility, had lots of investigations. Had 1 round of ivf last year which failed and we start the nxt lot may/june time. Although I didn't find ivf too traumatic ( I was expecting it to be awful) and I'm looking forward to doing it again but if we could just get there ourselves beforehand it would be great. I know after all these years I'm clutching at straws but u never know! We've tried everything, legs in air blah blah blah, even tried forgetting the whole process but nothing!! Its heartbreaking tbh x

Yep. After two years trying. Worked first time. Now have one year oldSmile worth the money

I've been using one since last July. A couple of times it has been wrong which I'd really annoying but generally it gives me AF 16 days after my first peak. Hoping it works soon.
