Positive test in morning, bleeding in evening

Wonderland121 · 17/03/2013 11:10

Yesterday morning I got a positive digital test "pregnant"

Last night I went to the toilet, when I wiped I had light coloured blood Hmm

This morning feels like I have a heavy tummy and again blood on wiping this time darker in colour & lots of it.

So my guess is this is another Mc? Any advice or thoughts I am really struggling today.

Feel so crap, feel like a failure this is now 3rd mc.

sorry you are feeling so rubbish. is it still early? how many weeks. with dd1 i bled till 9 wks and she's 5 now however i had a mc with no bleeding. don't give up hope but do see a midwife or go to epu.

Wonderland121 · 17/03/2013 11:30

Thank you for replying.
Yes still early at guess 4 or 5 weeks just wish I hadn't done that test yesterday morning then I would know no different.

When you bleed was it quite heavy and fresh blood? (Sorry tmi)

it started quite watery but then bright red and later turned browny red (pretty much like a light period. i think the worst thing to do is stress. dont blame yourself either. go along to your epu and they'll hopefully put your mind at rest.

Hey... Not the same thing but i had several BFPs so was defo pg. however, a week later i had mild cramping in the evening and woke up the next morning to a full on mc... I was also 5 weeks along. I know that even if i hadnt tested i would have KNOWN it wasnt just a period. This only happened this week for me. I guess my point is if it is a mc surely the symptoms would be more pronounced? Excuse me if i sound ignorant, its just that my mc was really horrible, i know they vary.

Wonderland121 · 17/03/2013 17:03

Thank you everyone.
Yes I have awful cramping now and clots (sorry tmi) so am certain it's a mc now.
I have had 2 mc before exactly like this so my fears are now confirmed.

Wonderland121 · 17/03/2013 19:06

It is awful I can't believe it happened like that Hmm

Its how mine happened, well pretty much... It was over after about 48 hours... With the exception of a dull ache im physically ok now. I know what you mean about the crying, i didnt stop on tuesday... Just go with it, let your body do the work and lean on your support system... I am so sorry you are going through it. Xxx

The pg symptoms vanished for me too the day before... Well the MS was still there, but i was hurtling towards HG so it took a couple of days to completely go. The knackeredness and boobs vanished completely within hours though... I suddenly felt 'normal'... I even remarked upon it to my DD... I felt uneasy and kept checking to see if i was bleeding the night before... I kinda knew it was coming... On reflection, i hadnt realised how pregnant i felt until after the mc.

How are you today... Is it calming down yet? X

katerinaemalina · 18/03/2013 13:46

Massive hug to you. I've had 2 mc. I know that horrible feeling. Have you got supportive network around you? Will u go to dr to see what they can do? Have a big fat glass of red and some baked Camembert xxx

Wonderland121 · 18/03/2013 19:41

Thank you for your lovely messages Smile
I am doing ok cramping has stopped, still bleeding Hmm
It's so hard isn't it, even though ours wasn't planned it was a shock/surprise that only lasted a few hours.
I might go to the doctors or see what happens.
Big hugs to you all to and I hope your ok after your mc.

im glad the cramping has stopped. Hope the bleeding stops soon. I would get check over by your GP just to make sure its complete, but its up to you.

My little pip wasnt planned either but it doesn't make it easier... Grieve your loss, its a big one. Xxx

Whitetara · 19/03/2013 22:32

Hi there. I hope you are ok. It's so awful isn't it. The exact same thing happened to me back in January - went from being pregnant and shocked and then a different kind of shock when it suddenly ended.

I phoned NHS as it started and was told not to take any pregnancy tests until one week after, then take another to see if it were positive or negative and to contact the doctor again if still positive.

Sending you a big hug.
xxx

I'm so sorry for your loss (()). I had 3 mc's before DS1 and in a rather perverse and twisted way I was 'relieved' by the third one as it meant I met the criteria for testing in the recurrent miscarriage clinic (EPU will refer you). That said, the testing didn't show anything up and although I then had DS1 and then DS2 with no probs I had a 4th mc between DS2 and current pg. I refuse to believe it can just be bad luck (in fact I actually believe I can't carry girls but no scientific basis to it at all). I hope you are doing ok physically and mentally. Def get to the EPU and get referred, if only to put your mind at rest. It WILL happen, your body is just practicing to make perfect! At least that's what I had to tell myself. xx

olivertheoctopus · 19/03/2013 22:41

Sorry, didn't read to the bottom and now see you already have 2 DCs so no point in testing. My 4th mc (last summer) was unplanned and a huge shock but I thought all would be fine after the DS's with no probs and it was a huge shock when it didn't. Bloody sucks.

Wonderland121 · 19/03/2013 23:25

Today I have felt really sick & still feeling sick tonight, how strange is this?
