Pregnacare Conception with B complex - too much folic acid?

Hi

This may be a daft question, and apologies if it's been discussed before, but I'd really like to hear your opinions or experience.

I wondered if there was anyone out there with some expertise/knowledge of pre conception supplements. I've noticed through charting that my LP is short. Last month it was 7 days long and after taking Vitamin B complex 100g from Holland and Barratt for a month, it was 9 days this time round (with spotting on 9 dpo). I'd like to increase it quite a lot.

I've just bought some pregnacare conception tablets and another bottle of the B Complex but at the 50mg amount since the pregnacare has already 10mg of B6. This was on the advice of the shop assistant at Holland and Barratt. She discouraged me from getting the evening primrose oil that I'd been thinking of getting on the basis that the pregnacare is specifically for conception...

However, both the B complex and the pregnacare both have the standard dose of folic acid.

If I took both these supplements would that be too much, as I'd get a double dose of folic acid?

Here are links to the ingredients of both:

Apparently the maximum dose of folic acid is 2000mcg.

"Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin, so your body will flush out the excess if you consume too much. For some women, however, getting too much folate may hide a B-12 deficiency, which is sometimes a problem for vegetarians. Ask your doctor or midwife if you think you may be at risk."

You do need to watch out you don't overdose on vitamin A though ...

There shouldn't be any vit a in conception tablets I dont think but check the box. I believe that you can take more folic acid if you're at risk for something my stupid brain can't remember what so should be safe to take in a larger dose.
