Newbies very welcome provided they meet the entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

ROFL. I now have an image in my head of someone twinkletoeing into an alleyway and waving a hotdog around like a fencing sword and then dancing out again... No idea where that came from!!!

BookTart · 26/03/2013 15:25

Oh god, I'll never be able to do it again without laughing! My brother referred to an ex as like "rattling a stick in a bucket", which I thought was bad enough!

Frogcatcher · 26/03/2013 16:32

On a far more dull matter than DTD with hotdogs & buckets has anyone tried a saliva microscope? I've totally failed to detect O this month with PIMPing & wondered if it was a method that would work better for me. Would save me a fortune in OPKs potentially in the long run.

Frogcatcher · 26/03/2013 16:33

We would need a new acronym tho - SOS? spit on slide?!

Tallyra · 26/03/2013 16:45

I heard good things about ferning on my iphone app but never tried it I'm afraid.

BookTart · 26/03/2013 16:49

I've never tried the spit thing - I went bonkers enough with the opks and the temping!

Pipbin · 26/03/2013 16:50

Curses. AF has sent her advance party.

EasterBunnyGirlie · 26/03/2013 18:29

Oh darn it pip

I have docs appt tomorrow for my blood test results, I'm a little bit nervous!

CharmingCats · 26/03/2013 19:28

Hello! Shame about af, pip I had everything crossed.
cherry, can't say how pleased I was to read your update. Sadly it's often the way that you get much better care and bedside manner from consultants and ones in private practice. But so glad you're getting everything possible done.

Berries, have you seen the thread by lovinghusband? He wants some advice for his wife, but I'm not sure what to suggest. Think you could offer some pearls of wisdom?

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/03/2013 21:02

Sid i would persevere next month with the OPK's (there is a knack) and keep this months if you can for comparison. (My 'positive' is never totally and utterly dark. Once you get 'it' after a month it'll be worth the cash saving! Oh and ditto on the preseed, can't believe anyone uses as much as they tell you. First time i did that I was Shock and Hmm ... we barely stayed on the bed as it was like shagging on banana skins on top of an oil slick!! I chucked at the hot dog in an alley and know exactly what that felt like!
pip sorry about af... has 'it' definitely arrived? On that note who was it who joined, then got AF, then suspected (bout the same time as me) that it was a BFP? Have they disappeared or have i lost track??
Ferning I considered, but, despite my obsession, ruled it out. I simply couldn't be arsed!!
Bunny good luck for results

Thanks merk how's you?

I think it was Alex and she went straight to the grads, they aren't as strict as us with their entrance criteria lol

Pipbin · 26/03/2013 21:16

There was someone wasn't there Merk.
It's not AF proper but she is due tomorrow and the advance parties are very much here.

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/03/2013 21:23

pip that's crap, sorry.
In my life I am just working. 6am til 8 or 9 every day. I am so out of practise it is killing me... 7 months off has meant it's hard to get back into the routine. Hence why I am not around so much (eg. Heading to bed in 10 mins)! Otherwise thoughts of TTC have drifted a little this week, due to work and the fact O is miles away...

EasterBunnyGirlie · 26/03/2013 21:24

Ugh what long hours Sad

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/03/2013 21:30

Bunny they're not actually long for my line of work... I'm holding off doing proper hours to ensure I don't pass out at my desk. In my old job 5 til 9 or 10 was normal. Sounds mad doesn't it??

OP posts:
EasterBunnyGirlie · 26/03/2013 21:39

Woah what do you do? I moan at 9-5 lol

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/03/2013 21:41

I.T. Project work. Booooorrring (unless you're a geek like me)!

Hooray for the berries! Thanks pip & bunny for posting to loving husband.

Nearly long weekend!

EasterBunnyGirlie · 26/03/2013 21:48

Sounds better than mine, although I prefer my hours Grin

barkingtreefrog · 26/03/2013 21:56

Hello! Just watching up with everything I've missed. Been out for a meal with colleagues for a 50th birthday. Was quite a pleasant evening only slightly marred by the upduffed one talking about how she wouldn't have a drink tonight as she was 'saving her wine points' as obviously she'd be drinking wine in France next week Shock . There were 12 of us out so I tried really hard to not be in the same conversion as her when she was talking about how pregnant she'll be when x happens, and how she'll anyway I spent the evening trying not to listen so thete's no point repeating now what I tried not to hear in the first place!!!

My latest thing has been to force pre conception vitamins down DP as well as myself. I asked him this morning if he'd taken his tablet then put one on his plate as he doesn't take them unless I actually hand him one. He said 'I hear having sex helps as well'. I just replied that we'd been trying that for 16 months and it didn't seem to be working so I thought I'd try pills instead...
It's still ages until shag week (don't get O until between CD17-22) so he's obviously feeling neglected as I haven't been pouncing on him for a while.

barkingtreefrog · 26/03/2013 21:56

catching up....

EasterBunnyGirlie · 26/03/2013 22:18

Crap innit barking!

Just tormenting myself by watching last weeks OBEM, I must be nuts!!!

CharmingCats · 26/03/2013 22:28

Watched a programme called 'don't just stand there, I'm having your baby' on iplayer today. It was about dads getting training from midwives to be perfect birthing partner. One of them ended up practically delivering baby. Mentioned this to DH and asked if he would want to do that. Emphatic 'no!'. He said he'll be a hand to squeeze. Dunno Which I'd prefer. DH's mate took photos of the action.....ewww.

EasterBunnyGirlie · 26/03/2013 22:34

Ewwwwwwww indeed! Have told DH if it ever happens he is staying at the top end and keeping away from the business end!!!

barkingtreefrog · 26/03/2013 22:37

Last week's OBEM was the first one I felt totally passive about. Didn't get wound up by accidental/unwanted/instant upduffment and really didn't give a sh1t care about the women giving birth at all!

I can't imagine my DP at the birth because I'm still hopeful that at some point there will be one!!. He is very easily bored so I can see him driving me crazy if he has to sit and wait for any length of time without doing anything. Especially any length of time without doing anything active.
