Good luck goddess with the laying and the staying away from food. Much respect for trying to work under the circumstances.

Fingers crossed for an eventless ET this afternoon, mrsd and lots of unnecessary planning for the cycles after this one because you won't need them!

Fingers crossed the boobage means something ramona. Mine do grow every cycle, SB finds it annoying that the more p3 I get, the less he's allowed to touch. My nips only went mental from week 6 of my brief diffedness, but now seem to have learned the trick and look very similar in every bloody second WW. I took this to be a Sign a few too many times to get excited now.

I am tired and have piles and piles of work to do. So I am here.

ArtemisTheHunter · 24/04/2013 10:16

Grin at the boobage talk. It's the one thing I was looking forward to (well not the only one but you know what I mean!). But typically mine have proved to be lazy. It's taken all this time to go up two cup sizes, though I was starting from a very low base, and like MrsD was wearing the wrong size to start with. Unfortunately the size of my arse has more than kept pace.

This did not, however, stop a colleague in a meeting last week from announcing that pregnancy had given me a 'massive cleavage' Hmm. Cue 12 pairs of eyes all swivelling in my direction to assess my chest. Great!! She's a female colleague and a good friend so I don't know what prompted that particularly inappropriate brain fart. I had to bite my tongue to stop from pointing out that my cleavage is only massive when compared with hers Grin

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/04/2013 10:18

Of course I haven't done IVF pout, but the whole area has changed for good, I fear. I have even given up with pre-AF scrutiny of boobage...

Btw how are you? How is the craft-empire? When and what will be the next steps?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/04/2013 10:19

Why did you artemis, no tongue biting necessary, you are pregnant and should have!!

ArtemisTheHunter · 24/04/2013 10:21

And after the trivia post, very good luck to Mrsd and Nelly for today.

Ramona I had similar side-effects to Pout on the clomid, weight gain and murderous thoughts moodiness, but there are other people who don't notice side effects at all.

Lemon I'm here for the same reasons as you... don't know where I have left my concentration this week.

ArtemisTheHunter · 24/04/2013 10:27

Lemon it's genuinely the first time in my life I've been conscious of anyone checking out my rack so I suppose I ought to be grateful to her Grin

Poutintrout · 24/04/2013 10:29

swivels round to admire art's massive norks Grin Grin

lemons I am so envious that you have abandoned the futile pastime of boob watch. I think you are right that things do change what with the hospital fannying around with our hormones. I also wonder how much is down to the passage of time too pushes thoughts of perimenopause to the back of my mind That said maybe I just need to stop polishing my norks and making a clean patch!!!
The craft empire is erm...stalled! I have got waylaid with making stuff for the new(ish) house and then didn't feel like doing much during the IVF cycle or after for that matter. I'm also sorting out the spare room to turn into my craft den. Well that's my excuse for utter lazyarsedness. Next steps RE treatment is waiting for my stewards enquiry at the hospital (mid May) and then hopefully my FET. What is your next step?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/04/2013 10:31

I have actually done lots on Monday and Tuesday and will do lots tomorrow. So maybe it is just my body taking a necessary break :)

I get checked out a bit am well endowed and it gets old quite quickly...

mrsden · 24/04/2013 10:31

How full does my bladder need to be for et? I'm worried I might wee myself. Is it ok to go to the toilet straight after or will I risk flushing the little ones out?

mrsden · 24/04/2013 10:32

I'd love to be checked out just once in my life but once would be enough. I've always been envious of my well endowed friends.

Poutintrout · 24/04/2013 10:34

I was told at my trial ET that you need a full bladder but not so full that you will pee yourself as soon as you are touched.

Yes you can pee straight after. I asked this and was told that the embies are safely ensconced and won't be dropping out!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/04/2013 10:37

Of course, that is what she wanted, eyeing up the eggcellent boobage as well...

Sorry about the stalling. Maybe try and get back into the swing of things from May. One more week to potter and do little :) A spare craft room sounds amazing.

I do hope the review goes well. We'll probably start a final round of IUI round that time, moving onto LP IVF afterwards. I want SB's swimmers checked one more time before going all out on the old hormonal hell, and IUI is one easy way to do that and have a exceedlingly slim chance of pregnancy as well.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/04/2013 10:39

What pout says. Even with IUI you can pee straight afterwards. The working one was by far the fullest bladder, as they were running late, I raced off the chair to the loo My experience has been that drinking about a pint of water 30-45 minutes pre-meddling gives a good, but manageably full bladder.

mrsden · 24/04/2013 10:44

I've just had a mug of mint tea and will have a glass of water before I leave, I have a small bladder so that should be enough. I always go to the loo just before I leave the house even if I don't need so must remember not to do this. I know that the little ones aren't put in the bladder of course, but I still have visions of them falling out with the force!

pout that's been quite a long wait for the follow up. I suppose it's given you time to recover physically. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the fet. I haven't noticed colour change but will keep you informed.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/04/2013 10:47

Massive good luck, mrsd. When you come back, you'll have two embies inside you :)

MuddyWellyNelly · 24/04/2013 11:22

I ended up having to pee when I arrived at the clinic for ET as I'd overdone it. Mine tends to fill back up quickly.

I managed to do some actual real work this morning. But now on way, a bit early as they are going to scan me first to check my golden egg didn't pop early. The worry never stops huh?

You lot really made me laugh though Grin

joycep · 24/04/2013 12:11

Mrsd ? best of luck. I was told half full bladder. If i had had a full bladder, the doc would have had a nasty shock. Oh and when i asked the embryologist whether the embryos would fall out, he said every single person asks that question.

Nelly ? really best of luck too.

Gin ? isn?t today the big day for you as well? If so best of luck.

Enjoying norkage discussions here this morning. Mine were very painful from week 2 of stims through to a week after erpc. I was having to wear a bra in bed to protect them from Roy and the pain. the upshot is, they are now uglier than ever with horrible stretch marks. They?ll be at my knees before i can say diffedness.

CritterPants · 24/04/2013 12:19

Quick one from the airport to say good luck to nelly and mrsd! Will be thinking of you both and sending lots of positive fertility tail feather waves in you directions!
Euro I like to tease mr c that I want our kids to have his handsome looks and my personality Grin

mrsden · 24/04/2013 13:45

I'm impressed you could concentrate on work this morning nelly. I was happy mine was first thing because I didn't have time to get wound up about it.

I now have two embies on board Smile this is further than we have ever got before because I'm sure egg and sperm haven't met before. Both are 4 cell which is perfect for a day 2 transfer according to the dr. I briefly spoke to him about the immature eggs. His thinking is that I reacted too strongly to the cetrotide and this effectively halted the growth of the eggs rather than just stopping ovulation. He said it was rare for this to happen. On Friday when I had the scan he said the follicles were a good size and he would have expected them to continue growing over the weekend but when he did the ec he said the follicles were too small so something happened between friday and monday. I'm not sure where this leaves us for the next cycle. But, I'm not going to think about that now. Two were good and they've fertilised and are inside me now. It's now down to luck.

The transfer itself was fine. It was a little bit awkward because my womb tilts backwards so the nurse really had to press down with the ultrasound. Other than that it was painless, I can't believe that I used to find smears uncomfortable.

nelly thinking of you.

mrsden · 24/04/2013 13:48

I'm also Grin at critters hot hubby. I think we need a full description.

MuddyWellyNelly · 24/04/2013 13:51

The follie hadn't popped and they got an egg. So now waiting to hear from embryologist before we leave.

Yay for the 2 embies MrsD! I was just saying to MrN if I ever get pregnant the scans and internals will be a piece of cake after all we've been through so far.

mrsden · 24/04/2013 14:04

yay to your egg nelly that is wonderful! How are you feeling now? Did you have sedation or GA?

I've sent a couple of FB friend requests, based on mutual friends. Just in case you wonder who the random request is from.

joycep · 24/04/2013 14:47

Well done Mrsd and Nelly. That's all great news.
Yes and Critters hot hubby. We need pxitures!
And have any of you on FB Found you actually have mutual friends in RL?

sweetgrouch · 24/04/2013 15:47

Great news for MrD and Nelly!

I second the full description of critters hot hubby.

Off for now!

MuddyWellyNelly · 24/04/2013 17:24

I had sedation MrsDen but its quite heavy so essentially out cold. Feeling a bit sleepy but only just home. Had to avoid home for a bit for complex reasons so went for a late lunch instead. Now finally in my PJs and trying to decide between a nap or doing some work. Wink

Can't say I'm feeling hugely optimistic but she said sperm looked good and egg didn't look immature so that's a good start I suppose. We had a surreal convo before they took me in, around DE, and its something we would both consider. So at least we have that as a next step.

Joy no mutual friends other than each other! But I don't live near anyone else so it'd be unlikely I guess?
