Ladies - a brand new lovely shiny thread for us to fill! Enjoy x

ickle I think that's why some folk felt pleased to have the af before ttc again as it was like a big clear out as it were.

Personally I reckon that you'll be ok, I think spotting on and off is really normal after ERPC. I did just what you have done. Didn't get pg obviously but still tried and had spotting on and off, then a mini period, then a proper one a couple of weeks later.

Hope this helps x

Lucky13ForBaby · 14/03/2013 19:30

Congrats janie. I to will yest 2mor and hope for a better line. Maybe a wet fish would snap me out of this consuming anxiety!

JanieLovesCake · 14/03/2013 19:36

thanks girls! i won't believe it until the morning when / if i see a better line and then i might do some star jumps! i hear ya lucky but i'm holding your hand all the way and i'm making sure you hold mine! garden i'm wishing you all the luck in the world for tomorrow. was there someone else poas-ing tomorrow as well? xx

Thunderbuns · 14/03/2013 19:36

You want a slap, 13? I can do that!

Your anxiety is very understandable, but yes poas tomorrow as per the system and you might be very pleased!

BirdsDoIt · 14/03/2013 19:48

Ha ha, I love the Rules! Thanks santa! Friday testing sounds like the way forward - otherwise likely to hit bankruptcy before pregnancy. I have such an irregular cycle that after 28 days I can never figure out when to poas so just do it over and over and over again...though I feel like getting back to poas stage is still some way off for me at the moment. Fingers crossed for everyone peeing tomorrow am though! :-)

IBelieveInPink · 14/03/2013 19:49

Aww Janie! Fab news! although completely against the system
Eek we are on a proper roll here aren't we! This must be a lucky group we have going, bodes well for the rest of our ladies who will surely not be far behind.

Either that or we have some sort of spring phenomenon going on, baby rabbits, baby chicks, baby lambs =more babys? Perhaps?

Mummytothearkbuilder · 14/03/2013 19:50

Thanks ladies - as ever your wisdom and knowledge is ace! Xx

Loving the rules! Congrats on the bfp janie good look to everyone else who is poas tomorrow. Mentioned smep to oh and we're going to give it a go starting from wkend. Dtd here we come!

alyant79 · 14/03/2013 20:18

Oh janie wooo! Fx it sticks.

ickle I reckon you'll be fine. Try not to stress. If you're really worried then maybe don't dtd again for another day or so to see if bleeding stops again.
I think main reason they say not to have sex while still bleeding is because of infection risk from open cervix, but I think it closes up very quickly (think days, not weeks).

I'm getting very excited by all these bfps. Must be spring. Is there a goddess of spring I can pray to?

alyant79 · 14/03/2013 20:21

Oh and I mentioned smep to dh and the look he gave me was NOT scared. I do believe there was a glint in his eye.
Bleeding from my second ERPC is much less than from the actual mc, so maybe not long now... Wink

Floweroct · 14/03/2013 20:46

Congrats janie!

Loving the rules it's going to be two weeks on Friday til ill be allowed cos testing tomorrow at 2dpo is not a good idea

We seem to have been doing smep this time dh was well and truly not up (excuse the pun) for it yesterday but he battled on was hoping for tonight again but not sure he'll cope bless him!

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 14/03/2013 20:54

I mentioned SMEP to DP. He didn't look impressed. He's an old man now you know! When I said this he said it wasn't that he couldnt, more a case of whether he wanted to! Confused that's nice isn't it! Shock

fod27 · 14/03/2013 21:10

janie that's brilliant!!!! You go girl!!! ;)
saggy sounds like a typical bloke to me hahaaa....this is how it goes in our house "so errr we sexin tonight then or what?" "Really???do I have to? I'm knackered babe and Ive just had a shower" so I flash my boobs! His response; " duck...:you can't do sexy! Funny you can do" wicked!

shellshock7 · 14/03/2013 21:29

Congrats janie that's amazing news Grin Good luck to you and lucky tomorrow Smile

thunder I need a fish slap Hmm convinced myself its going wrong with no signs really at all aaagggghhhh I need some posifrickintivity

JanieLovesCake · 14/03/2013 21:29

Eek thanks guys Smile although I won't say the BFP word til tomorrow as I'm convinced I was seeing things in the faint line...still got my fingers crossed for tomorrow!

We kinda did the smeg thang...more a case of rape week with a day off after a few days, dtd everyday except one over that week leading up to ov. Hope it's worked!!!

Off you go and lure those men into bed. Just playing with their nethers seems to do the trick if they say they're sleepy (or pretending to be asleep like DH did a few nights) mwahahahaha we get our wicked way some how! Wink

Lucky13ForBaby · 14/03/2013 21:46

Fx for everyone testing 2mor. How far along are you pregnant ladies? I have no symptoms which really concerns me. Where's that positivinfrigity at!

IBelieveInPink · 14/03/2013 21:50

Shell- I can't do fish but here is a hand to hold. I keep swinging between 'omg check out all my symptoms' to 'where did they all go? It must be all over'
I have googled everything I can possibly think of.
I have googled statistics
I have googled specific symptoms.
I have also googled how early you can pay for a scan.

None of this is going to help. We just need to wait to do tests I'm afraid (have found said tests - DH is crap at hiding)

I hate the waiting though!

Also made the mistake of watching one born. That programme is the devils work!!!

BumpKitty · 14/03/2013 21:51

Ooh janie I'm so excited! My DD was a feint line and she is very much real Grin

I haven't poas again, am I strange?

saggy thanks for the tips, the left hand side pain has gone now but if it starts up again I will go and get checked out.

I'm burying my head in the sand a bit till I can have an 8 week scan - don't even want to tell my GP till after that, that's ok isn't it?

And santa you are the most hilarious officious control freak I've ever had the pleasure to be on a thread with :) and thunder you are a very close second Grin

shellshock7 · 14/03/2013 21:53

I know pink you are right, it's so hard tho...can't wait to test again in the morning and (hopefully) see that strong line again. Hope you're ok Smile

Im watching OBEM now, we must be stupid or crazy Confused

IBelieveInPink · 14/03/2013 21:58

Shell - get tissues, quick!!! I needed half a box!

Hey bump- how are you doing? Good to hear pain gone :)
I can't remember if you have already said- have you already got a scan sorted? Or will it be a case of going and begging? In really worried that I won't get one (if I get that far)

BumpKitty · 14/03/2013 22:06

I'm just going to pay I think, if I do have any more suspect pains I will go and ask GP or call epu but if not I will just book a private one I asked last time if I would get an early scan and was told not if there was no reason, I'm a bit dubious about a private one though as you don't really know who is scanning you and I'm terrified of having a scan generally due to the build up of expectation etc.

farmerwife · 14/03/2013 22:46

Aly and pink thank you for all the encouragement - you are so right about statistics not meaning everything and knowing I can at least get pregnant - its a start!

AF came today - ever onward though!

Decided I might get ovulation test thingy - never done that - any recommendations?

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 14/03/2013 23:29

Hi Farmerwife - I have a Clearblue Fertility monitor, pretty ££ new but you can get them for about £45 on eBay and sell on afterwards. The sticks are also ££ though at about £20 per 20 (which will last 2 cycles). But it got me a BFP first time when we tried for DS and hoping 3rd time lucky this time. I am also a massive control freak and POAS addict so this keeps me saneish

CB digi's and cheapy opks's will give you the ov peak days and you can follow the SMEP plan and go for a sex festival.

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 14/03/2013 23:33

Janie just laughed out loud at "the smeg thang"! Grin
Fingers crossed for everyone tomorrow.

JBrd · 15/03/2013 00:03

Congrats, Janie! However, you should be fish slapped for testing early Grin But feel free to join us all again tomorrow.

Re faint vs strong lines on the OPKs - I never get a line that's as strong or stronger than the control line, so I go with the faint one. Last time, I had a faint line appearing one evening, tested again next day around lunch time, when it was stronger, but still not as strong as the control one. Then tested again in the evening, no line at all. It's like that every time, blink and you miss it.
But in spite of the faintness, I'm glad that I did the OPK - my CBFM ate 20(!) sticks this month, but all I ever got was a 'high' reading. OK, so it was the first time I used it, but it better not do that again, I can't afford it.

Good luck to the fellow testers! Off to bed now...
