Ladies - a brand new lovely shiny thread for us to fill! Enjoy x

Zeuxippe · 14/03/2013 16:13

Wow do you realise there are over 50 posts on this thread since I logged on this morning!? That's impressive posting ladies, well done.

Hello to all newbies. Sorry to hear about your mcs, but you're in the right place here for lots of helpful info and moral support.

Keeping fx for all those due to poas tomorrow!

Afm, we're due to embark on smep this weekend when we've actually booked a hotel and are leaving DD for the first time ever with her grandparents. Eek!! Not DTD since mc...

Maybeamug · 14/03/2013 16:16

Do I have to poas tomorrow? I'm scared that the very faint bfp I got yesterday won't be there Sad

Thunderbuns · 14/03/2013 16:18

Hi maybe. No you don't have to of course. You probably now fall into category covered by rule 4) seeing as you've already had your bfp....

alyant79 · 14/03/2013 16:18

WOW Zeu that is dedication to the cause.

I keep promising myself that I won't log in again at least until I get home from work, and then a few minutes later find myself sneaking back... naughty Blush.
won't happen again.

shellshock7 · 14/03/2013 16:20

Oh my god, Ive just PIMP (peed in my pants) at the rules Grin

pink I've POAS everyday sometimes twice since my BFP too Blush

WillSantaComeAgain · 14/03/2013 16:32

I'm glad I've made some people smile today. The colleagues I work for with think I'm an arse of the highest order as I've spent the day being difficult, obstructive and generally, well, an arse. But only because they're being a complete bunch of cunts a tad demanding.

I've got to wait till next Friday to POAS. It will be 31 days since ERPC, so perhaps a tad early, but I'm sticking to the system? I'm dreading AF coming to get me. Even though it would mean that I can officially start TTC again. (If you take the official advice seriously).

Mummytothearkbuilder · 14/03/2013 16:33

Just laughed out loud at the rules - I'm loving them (good job I am on my own in the office!!)

Saggy - I'm with you - I feel like POAS on fertile Friday is AGES away for me too! X

OP posts:
WillSantaComeAgain · 14/03/2013 16:33

We know you're there. Now get on with some work.

Thunderbuns · 14/03/2013 16:40

Oh yeah- there she is! Hi aly!

I would have been due to poas next Friday (22nd) but I have given up all hope and probably won't bother.

WillSantaComeAgain · 14/03/2013 16:44

Oh Thunder. Is there a particular cause for the loss of hope? Its not all over till AF the fat bitch starts singing.

Bakingtins · 14/03/2013 16:47

Loving the rules.

I'm feeling a bit better after seeing the consultant today, she was very encouraging. She's suggested a whole battery of tests, and am hoping the GP will do some of the basic ones for me otherwise we'll be bankrupt and unable to afford another baby when I see her on Tuesday. She seemed to think it was quite possible from my history that I have APL antibodies or a clotting problem and if that's the case I can be helped with aspirin/heparin. The flip side is that in 50% of cases they investigate they'll find no problem at all, which on one hand means you have a good chance of a successful pregnancy, but on the other means there is nothing that can swing the odds in your favour. I'm not sure if I want to try again in that situation. I was quite surprised that she said to continue TTC at the moment whilst we wait for the tests (I have to wait until midcycle 2 for a scan and some of the blood tests, then up to 6 weeks for results) and if I did get pregnant she'll scan me regularly and give me high dose folic acid, low dose aspirin and progesterone supplements as empirical treatments to support the pregnancy.

So whilst I'm still a bit low on the old posifrickingtivity, I guess I am lurking with intent again. If I promise to follow the rules, does that guarantee a successful outcome?

JBrd · 14/03/2013 17:09

Wow, I go away for a couple of hours, and the thread explodes! Liking the rules Grin

Glad to see I'm not the only crazy person who keeps poas after gettig a bfp - when I had mine back in November, I just kept doing it for about 2 weeks.

It's an addiction!

Right, need to go and get DS up from his nap, otherwise he won't go to sleep later.
What time are people testing tomorrow! My alarm goes off at 6am for taking my temp, then at 6.30am to actually get up. Will see if I can drag myself out of bed for the earlier one...

fod27 · 14/03/2013 17:43

Aly there was no smiley :( but I'm doing another shortly eeekkkkk Saphire I have my own language hahaaa frickin is in just about every word (helps with the swearing ;)) shell I think we all have our own way of dealing with it, it's all very individual...all week at work people have been askin if I'm ok or avoiding me in case I cry, then when u don't they almost seem disappointed! You just can't win, Unfortanetly I don't have the luxury of letting it overwhelm me, my children already know far too much about the cruelty of mother nature without watching/ hearing me sobbing...I've got to focus on the children that are here now and our life together

But I totally understand it ripped my heart out and my partner doesn't have any children so it's destroyed him....one of us has to be the strong one

Ten out of ten for effort tho huni....I'm routing for you all xxx

SaggyOldClothCatpuss · 14/03/2013 18:17

You know what? Sometimes I think this thread is torture because it reminds me of the MC and the chances of it happening again, and I feel like hiding it, but you lot are so lovely and supportive and funny I just can't keep away. I love you all! {{hugs}}

Mummytothearkbuilder · 14/03/2013 18:36

Ah bless saggy - I feel the same - I wouldn't have got through things without the support on here.

I need your help again ladies - I have just got 2 lines on my opk but the second line is lighter than the first - what does this mean?? DH is away tonight (he could come home if it means I am ovulating but it would be late as he is at an away match)

Please help - I need your wisdom!! I don't want to miss the boat - this is cd28 - last time we DTD was Tuesday xxx

icklemssunshine1 · 14/03/2013 18:50

Hi all, sorry to spoil the positivity here but bit worried & need advice. Just to recap (sorry if sound like stuck record) had ERPC 2 wks ago y'day. Had slowed down to light spotting & had 2 days no bleed so DTD last night. 1 hour ago when I went to toilet I had fresh blood when I wiped (sorry for tmi) & now spotting red. Freaking out. Can't be AF so soon surely? If its still ERPC then has I comprised anything DTD? Help!!

Lucky13ForBaby · 14/03/2013 18:57

I went against the system and got bfp on wednesday Am fretting now all is going to go wrong for me. I have poas every day since and can't see it getting darker. Can't cope with another MC or chemical :(

jmf294 · 14/03/2013 19:13

Icklemssunshine- the bleeding could be still from the post ercp bleed or it could be the ERPC slightly bruised your cervix and DTD made it bleed. I am sure it will settle.
Lucky13- what about going a digital test- fingers crossed.

I love love the rules- brilliant!!
I would be due to test on a tues/ wed so do I have to wait until the Friday afterwards or the Friday before?
I'm so bad at waiting and last time spent a fortune on those awful clearblue digitals.

Thunderbuns · 14/03/2013 19:13

mummy, if the test line is lighter than the control that means you're not having your surge. It has to be as dark or darker to show the lh surge.

ickle I got than on and off for weejs after ERPC. I waited til the main bleeding was done and then dtd. I spotted and had little clots occasionally for a number of weeks. I reckon you're fine.

great news janie

jmf294 · 14/03/2013 19:15

Mummy to ark- for a positive opk the line has to be at least as dark as the test line.
Congrats on the line Janie.

icklemssunshine1 · 14/03/2013 19:24

Thanks everyone! I have got the ward number but think I'll hold off giving them a ring & see what it's like this time tomorrow. Just fearing if there is some retained tissue & by some miracle I got BFP after 1 attempt (& believe me this happened in Dec. DD was continually ill, rarely slept & was in our bed all the time, then I was ill & DH was ill. DTD once & got BFP, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be :( ) then my womb won't be the perfect host for a little bean.

Anyway enough of my mood, good luck everyone for fertile Friday! Will be looking forward to hearing news of all those lines!!

Bakingtins · 14/03/2013 19:24

Congratulations Janie!
