Ladies - a brand new lovely shiny thread for us to fill! Enjoy x

katerina sewing is very therapeutic!! I made a very cool quilt in the weeks following my ex husband leaving me (what a knob) and I highly recommend trying it. All you need to be able to do is sew straight lines and it gets very big very quickly (unlike knitting that takes me months to even get something resembling a scarf for a barbie doll!) you can pick up cheapie machines from about £20 on eBay if you haven't got one and its really good fun shopping for fabric etc.

Blimey, I sound like a sewing sales person when should really be focussing on the shitty fairly significant day ahead of me.....

Sal1977 · 28/03/2013 09:35

Must be the hunger talking already.......

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/03/2013 10:38

Well I don't know what to think today! I woke up feeling sick, this is about the third day now, but wiping pinky brown like AF is on her way. Tomorrow is the earliest I can POAS but I think Monday is more likely. More than a little scared now!!

CoffeeandCremeEggs · 28/03/2013 11:58

sal and katerina I'm a sewer and love it. I've done a few things recently (I made a cape! and a top! and I'm in the middle of a really complicated dress!) - it's definitely been nice to have something creative to throw myself into.

I saw OBEM last night - I knew what was coming so didn't wail too much, but it was SO sad and somehow also kind of lovely to see how proud they were of their baby and that the end of the show was a tribute to him.

saggy fingers crossed for you, hope AF stays away.

sal I hope it goes as ok for you as it can, ERPC is a nasty thing to go through but at least it ends the limbo.

After my weird AF-type thing last week, it never showed properly over here so GOD knows what's going on down there. I am going to poas tomorrow for the hell of it but I strongly suspect my body is just fucking with me and I had a really light period for NO REASON. I don't even know when/if I ov'd this cycle (last cycle?) because I was having a no-stress one with no temping/monitoring/sexing at the right time or anything. ARGH.

alyant79 · 28/03/2013 13:52

Glad I'm not the only sewing addict around :)
Cape sounds intriguing coffee, what was the pattern?

sal I really hope you get seen today and don't have to spend the entire day starving for no reason.

FX for saggy and coffee that the poas for the hell of it works out!

coffee I like the freedom of not measuring anything. Makes dtd a bit less clinical and more fun :) If you get a bfn tomorrow are you going to continue with the no-stress approach?

MrsExcited · 28/03/2013 15:18

Hiya

Sal Hope your quietness is meaning that things are happening for you.

Thinking of everyone who is poas-ing tomorrow i hope you get the positive you want (still waiting for mine to show a negative)

Good luck katerina with the sewing, i think that sounds a great idea, i'm struggling to concentrate on anything, its the school holidays (teacher) so i should be doing all the things i have no time to do in term time, but keep drifting from task to task!

I have come up with loads of reasons for having a baby in early 2014 is better than Oct 2013, e.g. not taking a young baby through the winter, nicer time of year to be on mat leave etc

Having a sad day today it was meant to be my 12 week scan this morning and having seen all the excitement on the antenatal club i was on with my scan buddy going for their scan have been feeling down all day, when i had been feeling really positive since op at the weekend.

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 28/03/2013 15:35

I have just spent this afternoon cutting out a new skirt to make up (day off today) I am hoping that the law of sod will mean by the time I finish it, I will be pg and bump will mean I can't actually wear it this summer.
Do you think it will work?

BTW for sewers- there is a new programme starting on Tuesday 2nd April on BBC2 8pm - the Great British Sewing Bee, looks like it's going to be Project Runway crossed with the WI (May Martin who is one of the judges is a WI tutor at the Denman College). I love all these homemade Kirstie Allsopp type programmes.

LittleBairn no peak for me yet (CD18 and was previously peaking on 17) and I have had loads of EWCM so preparing for a WTF cycle.

CoffeeandCremeEggs · 28/03/2013 17:02

The cape I made was this one this one in a nice spring-appropriate green cord, which it has been much too bastard cold to wear.

I reckon it's going to work, yes, choc. The dress I've almost finished is fitted, so I reckon the more effort I put into getting it right the more likely it is that I will be up the duff immediately. And I am desperately looking forward to the sewing programme. I am hoping to see people cock things up so I can be smug because I am full on OBNOXIOUS right now

aly yes I think I'm going to carry on being fairly laid back for a while. It's been quite nice. Although I might pay ever so slightly more attention than I did to this cycle. Not sure if I can do "just a bit" though.

Zeuxippe · 28/03/2013 17:26

Hi to everyone just popping on to wish you all well for the long weekend.

Who's poas for fertile Friday? X

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 28/03/2013 18:09

Hey folks.

Happy Bank Holiday. Currently in pub about to throw self in to the posifrickintivity project of alcohol consumption! Yay. Sewing sounds like a good one, though I did attempt to make a skirt once and it was a complete disaster. Friend is late though (rude).

I know this is slightly ocd but is anyone due to poas with me (not literally obviously, that'd be weird) on Friday 26th April? I have long cycles. Wo

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 28/03/2013 18:10

Oops, crickey I've only had a sip!

It would be nice to have some buddies!

Sal, you ok?

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 28/03/2013 18:18

P.s love the 'law of sod'. It will undoubtedly work. Just make sure it fits exactly as you are now, if not a size smaller!

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 28/03/2013 18:19

P.s fingers crossed for you saggy

Thundercatsarego · 28/03/2013 18:25

Heyyyyyyyy! Hi everyone.

Love that cape! Am getting tempted to try sewing now damn you all as if I don't already attempt (and fail) to do enough

chocolate and coffee (nice combo btw), I reckon you are definitely tempting the law of sod with your non-bump sewing projects.

Hi zieu

cam I would be due to poas the week before that on the 19th but it ain't gunna happen this month so there's no point. In the name of posifrickintivity however I will try not to think that and will aim for a bfp on the 19th. That would be 2 days after af due however...!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/03/2013 18:50

Me Zeux. Not hopeful though.

Thundercatsarego · 28/03/2013 18:57

Come on saggy, my dear, I pretended to showed some posifrickintivity, and so can you. Can you? Flowers

Sal1977 · 28/03/2013 19:25

Just got home after getting the op done. Bit crampy and snoozy but not as horrific an experience as it could have been. Felt sorry for the lady in the bed next to me as she'd been through IUI only to lose it at 9 weeks. Shame.

Gonna order a takeaway in a bit and eat it under the duvet on the sofa! Lush.

Onwards and upwards ladybirds!! Xx

Thundercatsarego · 28/03/2013 19:32

Welcome home sal. Well done for getting through today and make sure you have lots of rest and treats for yourself now.

shellshock7 · 28/03/2013 20:34

Well done sal look after yourself and keep positive, as you say onwards and upwards from here Smile

Zeuxippe · 28/03/2013 20:40

Good luck saggy and anyone else planning to poas tomorrow! Keeping everything crossed for you x

sal glad to hear the op wasn't too bad. Hope you'll be taken care of this weekend.

Wonder if I can hold out to poas until Friday 12th April? If willpower fails me I might just poas next Friday instead (5th)..

Hi thunder impressive posifrickintivity!!

Happy Easter everyone

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/03/2013 20:43

Aargh! The bloody bollocking evil red tide of doom has me! Sad
That was a 26 day cycle! Confused

icklemssunshine1 · 28/03/2013 20:53

Hi sal, I posted on your thread a couple of days ago. Hope you're feeling physically okay. 5 days after my ERPC I had the hormonal crash & just wanted to crawl in bed & cry. Life felt so bleak but keep in mind it is the hormones that will exaggerate your grief. Maybe keep an Easter egg or two back for that day!

Anyone POAS? Still no bloody AF. 4 weeks & 2 days since ERPC. Where the bloody hell are you?! On holiday next week so part of me is hoping that triggers AF - always comes when you don't want it too!

jmf294 · 28/03/2013 20:56

Saggy- hugs xxxx, hope this new cycle is the lucky one for you.
Sal- look after yourself and take it easy this weekend.

Sending much love to all feeling low and sad.
Our time will come- positive belief is what it needs.

I am cd 25 tomorrow and will POAS.
The last few days the opks have suddenly got darker again- here's hoping!!

LittleBairn · 28/03/2013 21:01

sal what a crap day but I'm glad you didn't have to wait till next week. Be gentle with yourself.

chocolate I didn't expect much for my first cycle using the CBFM but I though I would be off the sticks by now, tomorrow will be morning 17 of stick peeing.
But when I first hit peak time it was during EWCM which is always how I've timed ovulation so I'm not totally counting this onto out.

Any pregancy test experts?
I couldn't find any First response early tests on Sainsburys for testing with tomorrow but I have normal First response tests they say not to use until first day of missed period. Anyone ever got an early BFP with them?
Or should I just sprint down to Boots tomorrow morning, and save Blush a wee sample from my morning we to use??

The last time I got a BFP at 8pm but I imagine that was because I was a few days late. Is probably best to use first wee right?

LittleBairn · 28/03/2013 21:03

saggy that's a bitch. Is this your first short period?
