Hey ladies just wondering if anyone else uses the clearblue opk and although it's not a smiley face if it has a faint second line would you say that's an indication LH surge is coming?

Ive been using superdrug OPKs as they are on special offer right now haha...

I was getting a faint line towards the latter part of last week which was darker over the weekend and today VERY DARK (much darker than the control line!)

So i think sometimes they get gradually darker Smile

I think the official line is 'no smiley' no surge' but I used to see a faint line the day or two before I got a smiley. I'd say you're likely to see a smiley soon and to DTD! :)

:) woo hoo thanks for that. DP won't know what's hit him when he gets home from work tonight. Dtd lots this week tho so fingers xd x

I pretty much always get a second line on those tests. But I only get the smiley face just before ov.

KatAndKit · 12/03/2013 11:15

Read the instructions! No smiley no surge is correct. LH is a hormone which is present in your body pretty much all month round so you will get a faint second line most of the time. The smiley face gets switched on when the two lines are the same colour - this happens at the time of the surge in LH which triggers ovulation. If you are going to bankrupt yourself with expensive digital tests you might as well use them properly. If you like looking at lines you might as well save a fortune and use the internet cheapies.

Wow major cage rattle there huh! Chill! People come on here for help they don't need to read rants like the above! Some people have plenty of money to spend on more expensive help. Also bear in mind some people are only starting out and need help so I don't think the above response is required.

Why comment if you just have nasty things to say!?
