Sorry if TMI.

Yesterday (about 10 hours before the clearblue ov test showed a positive smiley face) I had a blob of clear gel discharge? came away after wiping.

Never had this before (or have I just not noticed it?) Can i ask if this is the egg white that so many talk about on here??? Sister has told me that it's released to help the spermies swim to their destination?? '

is this correct??

This is egg white cervical mucus.

Do the deed on the last day of this, and your egg will be half way down your tube, ready and waiting for its other half.

Best of luck.

Don't leave sex that late! The egg will live for only up to 24 hours but sperm for up to 4-5 days. Far better to have regular intercourse before you ovulate to ensure plenty of sperm are waiting for the egg.

It can take sperm about 7 hours to swim up to the Fallopian tube so if you wait to have sex until after ovulation the egg will quite probably have already died.

Oh and yes, it does sound like egg white cervical mucus.

Hi!

That is EWCM - something I also experienced TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only been ttc since january but really going for it this month and looking for all the signs and using OPKs....

today I got a positive OPK (yesterday was also pretty much positive but the line is even darker today!) and I also have the EWCM - very stretchy between fingers and totally clear.

Today is CD17 for me so its come later than I thought...

We DTD on CD 13, CD14, CD15 and CD16 which is good....

Should we also be DTD again tonight and tomorrow!?

Im not sure what a postive OPK and EWCM means....? Does it mean we should have DTD already or does it mean start DTD now?

Or both!?

It means keep on doing it!

RIGHT YOU ARE! Wink

I wish that we could manage 4 days in a row........ but it's impossible for us! both geographically and physically! .... it becomes more difficult to DTD on demand each month, as it's so clinical! once is good but twice for us has proven too difficult! Its fine when we 'don't need to do it'!

I very oddly got a negative Ov test (clearblue) at around Midday on Sunday - then at 10pm on the same day, got a positive OV test......... big smiley face, and a negative the following day (monday, tuesday) therefore if I hadn't tested twice in one day, I would have missed the positive?!?!

this happened last month too.......! We did the deed at 11pm on sunday night and then hubby is off again for the week! My sister said that as we timed it perfectly, it probably wasn't worth the 250 mile drive up to him on Monday evening? have we got this wrong??? Is everyone else DTD every day at just before, during and after ovulation??? I was told to do it every other day (if poss) as sperm are weaker the day after?!?! .........Confused.com!
