well, now on cd47, some may remember that last week I went to gp and she told me to test again in two weeks, I did crack and did another test on Monday which was bfn. But now I'm getting more simptomatic, more spots, this morning feel extremely nausious, boobs are now painful not just tender, and have bucketloads of cm (tmi sorry). am tempted to get another test but should I just forget about it and wait another week as gp suggested?

Are your cycles generally this long?. If they are this can well be indicative of hormonal problems causing such long cycles. Generally speaking very long cycles can be ones in which ovulation does not occur.

I hope I am wrong here but as you have had a previous negative at this stage you may well get another one. I would not readily retest in such circumstances (seeing repeated negatives can be very hard) but instead have a blood test done asap to see what your hormone levels are like. If you were to have a blood test done the level of LH needs to be compared against that of FSH. These two hormones are vitally important in the whole ovulation process - they kickstart it. If these hormones are out of balance then this does affect ovulation.

I did have a day 21 test this cycle though and I ovulated, plus my thyroid levels were checked and they are normal (had overactive thyroid 12 years ago so this is something which I have checked regularly). Generally my cycles are around 30 days, to have a 46 day cycle is unheard of for me.

I would wait a bit longer if you possibly can. My cycles are 45 days but before the last af didn't arrive. I was on CD67 or something equally ridiculous! 10 bloody weeks. I did about 5 tests including a gp one and they were all neg. The gp said sometimes your body just decides that month is not a good one to make a baby so it delays releasing the egg. I came on 2 weeks later. I'm now in the middle of my 2 week wait to see if ttc has been successful.

I really wish you luck and hope you know one way or the other soon

Never posted a message before but Savers shops do an accurate and relaible (trust me!) test for 99p - it kept me going when there were doubts!

my cycles are always between 29 - 35. a few months ago i tested on day 30 - negative. day 40 - still negative and obviously late. even the doctors test on day 35 was negative. day 41 - positive. however - they baby did not develop and i lost him/her at 6/7 weeks. i have been reading your posts wannabe and feel for you. i wish the best for you.

Hi WannaBe

Somethings not right is it? Am i correct in thinking you are on clomid?

If your not pregnant and did ovulate why has AF not arrived surely your doctor should have more advice than test again in 2 weeks. Have you got a gyne your could call?

I wish you all the best, but if it was me i would do another test and if still neg go back to doctors even if it is early than he/she said.

After all you know your body better than anyone else.

xx

well, went back to gp yesterday and she did a blood test so here goes for another wait. I am still simptomatic, and tbh my stomach has definitely got bigger and looks a bit like a bump now! Even dh says so and he usually says that I never got rid of the bump anyway after ds! cheaky ...! Anyway last test I did was on sunday after episode of discharge and that was bfn, i have one more test left and am very tempted but dh says we should wait for the professionals to tell us! lol.
