Question about Superdrug HPT

Long time lurker, first time OP but I thought you all might know the answer to this!

I'm currently TTC #2 and approx 11-12dpo. Curiosity got the better of me this morning so I decided to poas. I've got the superdrug tests which say on the box can be used up to four days before af is due. It comes up BFN :(

Feel disappointed all day but keep trying to reassure myself that maybe it's too early etc. However, just been reading the leaflet that came in the box (as you do) and it says the test can be used 'up to four days before your period is due, calculated at 15 days past ovulation

Now I always thought that four days early would be 10 dpo? I'm nowhere near 15 dpo so I'm now stupidly giving myself false hope. Just wondering if anybody else had ever noticed this or if I've been getting the numbers wrong all along!?!

It depends on your luteal phase! 4 days before period is due/15dpo assumes a luteal phase of 19 days. I tend to ovulate around 11dpo and have a luteal phase of 16 days.

Honestly? I'd wait and test again around the time AF is due. These early tests are confusing with early negatives just because you've tested so early or positives that sadly don't always stick :(

sit on your hands and Test again in a couple of days where you're more likely to get a clear result. Good luck! :)

Thanks for replying, I will test again in a couple of days if af doesn't show up. Feeling really crampy today so not too hopeful :(

No it means they are calculating that your period is due at 15dpo. Therefore the test can be used at 11dpo. I have found them to be very good tests and reliable for me from 12dpo. For most people I would say stop the early testing for the reasons mentioned above. Chemical pregnancies can be heartbreaking. I needed to do early testing to start drugs as soon as possible and I found the superdrug ones to be as good as First Response but half the price.
