when to test

Me and my boyfriend have been trying since November and its hard every month when my period comes. Last month my period was 5 days late its normally on time now this month its 8 days late my last period was 28th Jan 2013 I'm scared to test its that gutting feeling when I'm not. Should I test or just wait a bit longer?

Personally Ash I would test. I know it's hard dealing with the disappointment, but then at least you would know and can deal with it and move on. I know not everyone deals with things in this way though. If you're not pregnant, then perhaps it might suggest that you have irregular cycles? You do also need to take into account that you haven't been TTC that long if you only started in November, and remember that 2 years is considered a normal amount of time for TTC if both partners are healthy. For me, remembering that doesn't make it all okay, but it does take the edge off the pain and reminds me that it could still happen. Maybe join us one of the threads for a bit of support? (You could try Just Shagging - everyone's lovely on there ) There are lots of good ones and it makes the waiting and sometimes the disappointment a bit easier to take. Hope this helps.

I don't know what to do, so confused. Last night in work I had lower back pain to the point when I was bending down I was trying to support my back so when I got home I took a test and it came back negative.. :/ I decided to take the other one on morning urine and that to came back neg. But all I've done today is be sick, my period is now 9 days late the last one was 28th of January and that to was 5days late. I have no clue what's up with me, my partner is in the army and he's currently away on exercise until next Friday so I'm pretty much on my own with this, I don't want anyone to know because it would build my mothers hopes up she would love a grandchild. Do you think I could be pregnant and its just not showing up on tests yet?
