Onwards and upwards lovelies... Bfp's, bumps, babies and young graduates, growing nicely back in the warmth of the greenhouse...

Cloud is right mrskate, I never in a million years would've thought we'd be here right now. I was just about ready to give up for good! It will happen for you, and I hope it happens sooner rather than later Smile October will be a tricky month for you, but remember we are here if you need to come and talk x

Cloud lovely picture, you look beautiful! I love the colour of your dress too!

DS and I go back to school tomorrow, I can't believe the holiday is over already! I'm quite nervous - I missed the last 6 weeks of the summer term due to being so ill so it's going to be weird going back. Slightly worried about my brain as it doesn't seem to be working very well, haha Grin Anybody expecting me to know what I'm talking about will be seriously disappointed!

Moon hope you're doing some relaxing and having a lovely quiet weekend? Can you believe it's September today - the month where your life will change forever! You must be so excited Grin

moonmrs · 01/09/2013 14:18

cloud you look lovely! I like the colours too. How on earth are you so beautifully slim after having 2 dcs? I fear my body will never ever get back anywhere near how it was!

shroom yes v v v v excited to meet our little boy this month! Would be very nice if he came on or before the 23rd, as that was the date the consultant gave us the bad news we'd never have a baby, so would like to stick 2 fingers up to them in my head Grin

cloud and shroom are right, I didn't think we'd be here either and we also were thinking of giving up. In fact the day I found out I was pregnant, we got a call from the adoption agency and we had to decline a meeting! It is really hard when you feel like everyone else around you has what you want, but you have to decide in your head if you want to keep going or not and stick with it. For us it was slightly different as we got told we'd never have children naturally and would need IVF. I remember being utterly devastated and couldn't even come on here to tell you girls. Around that time dh also lost his job and I felt like it was the end of the world. Then look what happened! Life has a funny way of working things out. Its bad timing for us, but we've both said on many occasions that we'd rather be poor with a baby than be living comfortably with no children at all. A job will always materialise at some point, but a baby can't and for that I will always be grateful.

Anyway I digressed a bit there, but mrskate hang on in there and if its your dream then don't give up on it. I realise it probably sounds a bit trite (is that the word I'm looking for, like unimportant?) coming from me and especially as I'm so close to your due date, but I really do (as we all do) understand how hard it is.

moonmrs · 02/09/2013 12:54

I went to the supermarket this morning. I saw advent calendars wtf advent calendars in the first week in September?! Hmm Also saw selection boxes and big tins of quality street....

CloudOfStarlings · 02/09/2013 23:53

Haha moon I am just starting to think about my Christmas crafts this wk, it's never too early!! Grin
Btw you are so lovely but it has taken a lot of hard work to get slim again! A year exactly of resisting anything sweet (though I did let go a bit on weekends) ..we're away for a few days but when back I'll post up a pic of me post-birth!! It just takes time & discipline to lose the weight but it's worth it I think :) know what you mean about feeling it will never get back to normal though! Just enjoy the boobs is all I'll say Grin mine are pathetic now haha!
Also absolutely loved what you said about what it means to you to have this baby.. makes me so angry that you were told you'd never have one naturally though! I don't know how they were allowed to tell you that when it was clearly sh*t! Just thanking God for your little miracle & you & dh just sound like such a strong couple, you'll be just fine :)

moonmrs · 03/09/2013 12:58

cloud well crafts are ok I guess as they need a bit of planning and time, but I am against advent calendars in September - I mean who is gonna buy one and resist eating it without having to buy another one Grin

Dieting is hard work, and I know I'll have to do it all over again as I have pretty much eaten what I wanted when I fancied it. I lost 2 and a half stone before conceiving but it took me ages so I know it isn't easy - well done you look fab!

I was thinking about the consultants earlier - someone clearly got it so very wrong and it makes me cross to think they can play with peoples lives like that. But having said that, we went on our delayed honeymoon shortly after that news, so maybe the break was what we needed.

Been to see the midwife today - little man is starting to engage! Dh keeps saying to me I'm so excited, isn't it exciting he's on the move Grin

Neeko · 03/09/2013 21:44

Hello all.
Moon happy maternity leave to you! Can't believe your due date is almost here. I'm so excited for you. Can't wait to hear the name and see a pic of your son.

Shroom Also very excited and happy for you. Are you feeling any better? Do you have an inkling to the flavour? Hope the return to work was better than you feared.

MLS So glad to see you posted on here and are getting support from everyone. With you every step of the way xxx

Rumours hope boys have settled back into usual routine and things are less stressful for you.. What's happening 're your course and teacher training?

Cloud beautiful pictures! You are very like your sister and you both looked gorgeous. Hope ds1 gets on ok at school.

4ever How's everything? Are you settling into a routine? How's S about starting school?

Sorry I've not been about. I'm finding the return to work really hard-going and exhausting and so are the girls. The new job is not as enjoyable as I thought it would be but at least it's only for one session and it does pay more. I miss my girls an awful lot and I think it's harder once you know what you are missing. I worked full time between dd1 and DD2 and it wasn't as difficult emotionally. Thank goodness I get the school holidays. I know I'm lucky that way...

Neeko · 03/09/2013 21:46

Oh and a huge hug to Mrskate. Hope your time comes soon.

Neeko · 03/09/2013 21:47

I have done quite a lot of Christmas shopping already thanks to the Christmas bargain thread. Sorry, Moon.

CloudOfStarlings · 04/09/2013 11:52

Aw neeko I was wondering how you were getting on with ft work, must be so hard :( hope you get more into the swing of it as time goes on. Ah thanks re the wedding pic.. the bridesmaid in coral is my sister too, we all get told we're alike all the time! :)

moon wow congrats on the weight loss pre preg, it is hard but so satisfying I find. I wouldn't bother even thinking about it til at least 4 months post-birth though..esp if breastfeeding, you'll be hungry ALL the time, & eating cake all the time keeps you going when tired Grin

moonmrs · 04/09/2013 13:59

neeko so sorry to hear you're finding things tough, I can only begin to imagine how hard it must be, I already know I don't want to go back to work and I don't even have my baby yet.... I hope things will get easier for you and yes you can always have the holidays to look forward to. Ha another one organised for Christmas shopping! I'm just a bit of a bah humbug in recent years, maybe this year will change things for me. Good on you for getting it sorted, I'll be jealous later on in the year!

cloud thanks Smile it was hard work, shame its not so hard to put it on in the first place! I've heard breastfeeding is a good way to drop the pounds, so hoping that will help.

moonmrs · 07/09/2013 16:52

Hope everyone's having a good weekend, tis very quiet on here.

Today I have made 4 cottage pies and 3 lasagnes! Feeling very proud of myself Grin have been meaning to do it for ages, and thought I'd better get on with it before little man arrives. Freezer was pretty well stocked anyway but now even more so.

Feeling lots of tightenings going on, not painful but a bit uncomfortable at times, guessing this is my body getting ready, eeek!

mls are you ok, you went quiet on us?

Neeko · 07/09/2013 18:01

Ooh Moon. That is exciting! Loving that your nesting is kicking in too. Can I come for dinner? Wink
Thanks very much for the sympathy (you too Cloud). It'll just be a period of adjustment for us all but we'll get there. At least I'm being paidGrin

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Rumours · 07/09/2013 18:39

Ooh moon its so exciting Grin

I think babymoon will be here 21/9 weighing 8lbs 3oz.

Hi neeks I cant keep away from that christmas thread Grin

4everhopeful · 07/09/2013 18:41

Hello moon!! Grin Been lurking! Get you nesting and preparing! So excited for you! Ill add to the sweepstake with Sept 17th (date just popped in my head!) & 9lbs 1oz! Bet you & DH are counting the seconds and analyzing every twinge! Grin Feel so emotional for you that your time is finally here!

That goes for you too shroom! Grin Just so thrilled for you! Hope work wasn't too draining, not that long til you can think of mat leave! Wink

Thoughts with mrsk really hoping it happens for you soon, know how hard it is with dates looming and feeling the pressure... September was always a hard one for me, 2 edds for my second (tomorrow) & fourth (26th), & the anniversary of our first loss on the 14th, which will be 6yrs shockingly! Its also should be my dads birthday on the 11th, so always found it a hard month, but of course, miracles happen, they are right here in front of me! Grin I will always remember, but know without my angel babies I wouldn't have my miracle babies! Grin Anyway, I digressed, just wanted you to know I empathise, but also nice to mark it on here... Smile

Neeko hope you're adjusting a bit now to the long hours? Must be hard... How was H's first day? Summer will start on October 2nd, after our holiday, the schools good suggestion so she isn't uprooted after starting to hopefully settle! Her little uniform and shoes are ready and waiting! Too cute, still feel a bit Confused about it all though!

Cloud what about J? How was he? Can't believe so many of our graduates are starting school! How did that happen?! Gorgeous pics btw! You all look stunning!

Mls thinking of you if you're lurking...

Waves to rumours & all other lurkers!

Permanently busy I feel! Loving my two, but hands so full! Our big family holiday for BIL wedding is in
2wks!Busy trying to organise packing for 4, find clothes & swimwear to fit and flatter my mummy tummy! Lost 2&1/2 of the 3&1/2 stone I. put on, not bad in 7wks, think the bf made it fall off! Wondering if its poss. to lose another 1/2stone in 2wks! Hmm My sis is down tues from ooop north to meet Teddy finally & stay at mums while I'm away... On weds, my dads birthday, I have hospital at 8am for GT test to check diabetes is gone.. Confused then same day Drs for Teddys 8wk check & my post natal check, his jabs the following day! Not busy enough! Hmm

Wow 4ever you do sound busy but very happy.

Rumours That thread is my guilty pleasure. Slowly but surely ticking people off my list. Those mugs r great and it's books a go-go for the nieces and nephews this year!

CloudOfStarlings · 07/09/2013 20:59

4ever - 17th Sept - 9lbs 1
Shroom - 19th Sept - 8lb 8
Moon - 20th Sept - 9lb exactly
MLS - 21st sept - 7lb 10
Rumours - 21st Sept - 8lbs 3
Cloud - 22nd Sept - 7lb 12

Ooooh moon it's getting so close!! I can't wait to hear your news Grin Hopefully you'll be able to update from the hospital but shout (via pm Wink) if you want someone's mobile number. Get bouncing on that ball (if you have one!) and go for nice long evening walks to get baby moving! I went power-walking every evening with my ipod on when near to my due date with ds2 I'm sure it helped me go into labour naturally :)
Well done on the freezer filling - I found that helped massively in the early weeks.

Hi 4ever! Ds1 hasn't started school yet, he goes on Thurs. He's sooo excited bless him just keeps asking every day if he can go yet! He tried on his uniform the other day and refused to take it off for ages haha :)
You do sound busy...wow I thought that GT just went after the birth?? Could it hang around then? Hope you have a really lovely hol; it's great that you'll have family around to help you out.

Just been enjoying the first Strictly show...oooh so exciting, Christmas starts here!!

CloudOfStarlings · 07/09/2013 20:59

Blush I meant GD 4ever not GT!

4everhopeful · 07/09/2013 21:15

Well done on the sweepstake list cloud Smile Ah best of luck with Js first day, how do you feel about it? So cute about his uniform, haven't actually tried Summers on her as same would probably happen for the following week! The day we got her shoes from clarks she insisted on wearing them straight away, for pretty much the rest of the day! Looked choice with her crop leggings & white ankle socks! Hmm Yes, diabetes should be gone, very rare it doesn't, the glucose tolerence test is just to be sure... Blummin hope so! Confused

OP posts:
CloudOfStarlings · 07/09/2013 22:20

I feel ok...I know he'll absolutely love it I'm just a bit sad that our life as just the 3 of us will change completely now I have to get him somewhere every day and can't just decide what we're all doing. Also nearly all my friends' kids have morning places and ds has an afternoon place so it means we won't really be able to meet up with them now during term-time :( but hey, there's still hols & I'm looking forward to time with ds2/time to myself if he naps!!

Neeko · 07/09/2013 22:33

Can't believe I forgot to post my guess. I say 18th and 7lbs 8 but can't copy and paste on the kindle.

Cloud I totally remember feeling that way when DD1 started nursery and I cried when DD2 started. It's also the thought of them being in the educational system for the next 13 years!
DD2 was a bit wobbly at the beginning but has settled well. I think it's harder for the mum's tbh.

CloudOfStarlings · 07/09/2013 22:53

4ever - 17th Sept - 9lbs 1
Neeko - 18th Sept - 7lbs 8
Shroom - 19th Sept - 8lb 8
Moon - 20th Sept - 9lb exactly
MLS - 21st sept - 7lb 10
Rumours - 21st Sept - 8lbs 3
Cloud - 22nd Sept - 7lb 12

Yep Neeko it's definitely harder for the mums!! I cried on ds last day at playgroup before the summer. They were singing this song they always sang which he loves, and all I could think about was the day ds was born, I had to really control myself to not sob openly in front of the other mums! What the heck am I gonna be like when he leaves home?! Grin

Neeko · 07/09/2013 23:09

Well DD1 says she's not leaving home- ever!! She has had a separate discussion with DH and me this week about how when she's grown up she'll do the housework and we can play with her babies!Confused Grin. In reality, we probably won't see her for dust.

4everhopeful · 08/09/2013 00:06

LOL at DD1s lifeplan neeks! Grin

With you and cloud both, so heartwrenching to think exactly what neeko said, this is life changed forever for the next 13yrs plus, no lazy pj days, no playing in the garden all day when its hot... Sad Did specifically go for afternoons though, so least we still get morning cuddles and playtime (& also eases me into the routine whilst juggling bf and a little fairly newborn!) Have had moments when do look forward to a little peaceful time with Teddy, and knowing Summer will really benefit from having an outlet to burn some energy and be the social butterfly she is, but do feel a huge lump in my throat as its getting closer, she's been the centre of my world these last 3yrs, will feel like I'm missing an arm! My sil almost made me cry when she said 'its the fact theres a whole chunk of there day (& there life) that you have no knowledge of!' Confused Too wierd when currently we know every minute detail and can associate and link tiredness/behavior/new words or interests immediately, and now there's a chunk of her day I won't be able too! Sad Confused She's still my babay, its the thought I won't be there to help, protect or comfort, as well as to feel that overwhelming warmth & joy when she proudly achieves something & normally turns to me with a big grin and laugh... Sad

Not given it much thought as you can tell Hmm Smile

CloudOfStarlings · 08/09/2013 08:59

Exactly 4ever! But i comfort myself with the fact he'll get so much out of it.

neeko so cute & funny of your dd1!
