What to do pre ttc

Hi there
I'm going to be ttc #3 at the end of April but, as I didn't plan the first two, I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do in advance other than folic acid.
Any ideas? What are/have you done in preparation?
Thanks

A good diet - lots of fresh fruit and veg, including green leafy veg, protein (lean meat/fish/tofu) grains, pulses, try to avoid saturated fats, etc. Omega 3 intake is important: you'll find this in oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, but try to eat just 2 portions per week.

Avoid smoking, try to avoid alcohol and other drugs (recreational/pharmaceutical) after you've ovulated.

Same sort of thing applies to your partner, too - well, except the stuff about avoiding stuff after ovulation! Good luck :)

Thanks Molotov - is there any need to see the dr beforehand when I don't have any pre-existing health probs?

Nah, I don't think that's necessary, Fairy. You've successfully conceived 2 babies already (hooray!) so I wouldn't even go there yet. Only if it takes 1 year plus, but don't even worry about that :)
