boodle! There you are! We were really missing you. Thank goodness you're here. How are you doing?

bunny I'm so sorry you are poorly. I totally feel your pain- so annoying. Have the pills arrived? I can't remember when you said they'd be here.

Hi everyone else, hi frog

cherrycoconut · 07/03/2013 19:23

Bunny and Mavis I'm hoping for a quick lurgy recovery for you both. There's some vile bugs around. Get stuffing the vits and echinacea and get thee to bed!

barkingtreefrog · 07/03/2013 19:23

cats hope you got your referral.

bunny it was 3 weeks for my DP and he got a call from the receptionist to tell him his results.

boodle have you got an appointment letter yet? I've started swooping on the letter box but not even waited 2 weeks yet!!

merkin thanks for your advice, I'm getting frustrated by the temp increase above cover line then dip again. Makes it difficult to be definite about O which makes it difficult to know when AF is due which means I can't tell whether I'm late or not!! Maddening! Still, feeling strangely positive this month for no good reason. Who knows?!

duchess of Cambridge you seem like a lovely person but I'd prefer not to see your bump everywhere if possible. Ta v much.

barkingtreefrog · 07/03/2013 19:30

Frogcatcher You're not here to catch me are you?
I shelled put for the CBFM but I'm begrudging the amount it costs for the sticks every month and merkin has converted me to the cheap opks instead. I'd definitely recommend temping if you've been trying a few months. I was going on the basis that I ovulated around day 14 as the websites say, but temping proved I was actually ovulating around day cd19-22, so could easily have not been making the most of the right time!!

ILoveMyCats · 07/03/2013 19:48

Hello hello! merkin, you are wonderful!, thank you for that article. I've only just seen it, but will print it and brandish it and the next opportunity. GP was very nice and has agreed to refer me, and recommended the gyn that cared for his wife. He told me that he didn't expect there to be anything wrong, but happy for me to see someone for reassurance. He then killed it all by telling me to....you've guessed it....stop trying! 'make love because you want to and not to make babies.' I stopped myself from clobbering him, as he'd agreed to my referral. Was annoyed at having to listen to that with a smile on my face though.
Slight issue may arise now though. I'm covered by DH's health insurance and I'm sure that's why GP agreed to referral. I called them when I got home and they said that as we're ttc, there's very limited cover for infertility. They want a letter from GP explaining reasons for referral before they authorise anything. Letter won't be done this week now, so have to wait with baited breath. If I'm not covered, I'm not sure whether I'd be referred. But, now I have that article, I can take it to the GP! hurrah!!

Meantime, I'm joining the 'waiting for a letter' club.
In other news, I have some great symptoms to spot, if anyone would care to join me?

Bunnygirlie · 07/03/2013 20:04

boodle we missed you!!!!!!!

Thanks for the get well wishes, thunder pills have arrived so we shall see if I get any miracle shags this weekend!

bunny, tracking ov sounds like a good idea. Hope the magic pills help. Everything crossed for you, must be difficult for you both.

Boodle9 · 07/03/2013 20:31

Thunder and Bunny, thank you for stroking my ego! Wink I'm so very glad to be back and filling that gaping hole in your lives...Grin!

Barking, nope, no letter for me. However, I have been to the doctors this week for blood tests and, whilst there, I asked the receptionist if she had any idea about waiting times for it. She was an absolute gem and went to ask around in the surgery. She couldn't find out but said they ring the hospital to chase it up. They (the surgery) rang me back later that day and said I should expect to be seen within about 10 weeks (so looking at sometime in April) and that they would let me know my appointment ASAP!

Progress, I hope!

Boodle9 · 07/03/2013 20:33

Sorry - should clarify that was 10 weeks from when doctor first did the referral! My maths isn't that bad!

barkingtreefrog · 07/03/2013 20:52

Definitely progress Boodle :).

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/03/2013 21:13

Bunny I seem to remember captain saying when her OH got the results over the phone from the docs he wasn't sure what questions to ask and therefore he didn't ask them/wasn't clear on what the outcome was... and I think she then had to wait for ages to get them via post or from the surgery. Therefore I would equip OH with a list of questions to ask to get the clear picture when he rings them

Cats always up for some symptom spotting...

Welcome back Boodle

SidneyBristow · 07/03/2013 21:35

Bunny DH had j-test Weds & I think they told him the same thing Boodle said, about a week. Strangely I am really stressed about it for no rational reason!

Aquarius & other lurgy sufferers, sorry you're sick! The crud seems to be going around here too, for once I haven't caught it. Today's drama though... NITS. Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it. Luckily only one person affected (not me thank God) but I am super sick of doing laundry, and am not even halfway done with it all!

Welcome Frog! Nice to have another stepmother around; my DH has 2 near to the age of yours. Bizarrely one asked last night at dinner whether he and mummy would ever have more babies - DH visibly shuddered - and I made a hash of it by saying that no, he and mummy were done having babies. Am hoping they picked up on the distinction but won't hold my breath. Why would the dentist tell you you were preg? Strange ideas 8 yr olds get eh?

It's crap being 4 days late, isn't it; being emotional is totally understandable and I hope your DH is being extra sensitive to you about it Thanks

Tally really sorry to have deleted your info from the list, not sure how I managed that but it was totally unintentional!

Really not sure how I messed up my AF/BFP due date either - it ought to be March 12, not 8! Duhr. Have fixed it below:

Bunnygirlie · 07/03/2013 22:23

Cheers ladies, any ideas what questions hubby needs to ask when he gets results?!?

OP posts:
ILoveMyCats · 07/03/2013 22:37

sid, I'm with you on the nits thing. I've managed to avoid them both as a child and as a teacher, but it doesn't stop me getting incredibly itchy whenever there is a case. I now have three different types of comb too!
bunny, not sure I can help with that - perhaps dr google has a few examples?
Thanks, merkin. I have the same symptoms as I had 30 days ago, but put down to the pregnacare vits. I'm dizzy, nauseous, exhasusted and peeing loads. Also, my right boob feels odd. I've been off the vits for more than 3 weeks and have been taking Folic acid for two. I don't want to be having a reaction to Folic as I think I'll be taking it for ages now until I get pg and then for 12 weeks. Trying not to get hopes up that it is anything else. As I don't chart (was going to start in January, at the beginning of that cycle), I have no idea when I ov. I haven't done OPKs since I got a smiley on cd21 & cm has been hit & miss. Soooooo, I don't know when to test!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/03/2013 22:59

cats how long since your smiley? IMO there's 2 camps of TTCers. Camp 1, those that don't like to test until after AF is due as they either can't stand the disappointment of a BFN OR are sensible and know it is possible to get an early BFP and then have a chemical which is crushing. Then, camp 2 who test early and often, prefer a BFN to wondering/hoping yet still convince themselves a BFN is just because they tested early!! I am the latter. I love the 5 min wait for a test, the hope and finger crossing, the fact that its not over until AF arrives. (I am an impatient person so this probably plays in too). I KNOW that testing early does not change the result but I do it anyway!! So, with all that in mind my sensible head says I would test if you are 14 days ish post smiley. My POAS addict head says test test test from anytime 9 or 10 days post smiley (but expect a BfN Grin)!

twinklestar2 · 07/03/2013 23:22

Bunny, get husband to ask the numbers for morphology, motility and count. Ask if they can post him a copy of the results.

CD15 here. DTD last night, trying to take advantage of supposedly being more fertile after having HSG (tubes flushed).

Pipbin · 07/03/2013 23:36

Evening ladies, welcome Frog.
Don't bother with the CBFM, or if you do, buy one second hand on ebay. I have one that I'm about to sell. I did quite like it but I found that I was backing it up with OPK sticks anyway so was really rather pointless.

We've had the contract through for the new house which is all very exciting.

barkingtreefrog · 07/03/2013 23:48

Got a definite positive on the opk this evening, and cbfm said high still but not peak. Glad I decided to start the opks a cycle early to overlap and compare with cbfm, it's quite interesting!
Mood was killed slightly by DPs mate in the pub tonight going on about how much of a nightmare his DPs pregnancy is, right down to not sleeping, her potentially having to spend the 6 weeks before birth in hospital due to the placenta being in the wrong place, and having orange stuff oozing from her nipples. Combination of that and the few pints DP drank meant it almost looked like it wasn't going to happen tonight! I was still sat in the pub listening to him go all doom and gloom thinking I'd still rather be pg and go through all that than not be pg....

Tallyra · 08/03/2013 07:31

Oh god. I started crying this morning whilst reading my local area advert magazine and I saw a cleaning company that also walks your dog. I'm so tired of being so emotionally charged all the time!

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 07:36

tally poor you. Where are you in your cycle? (((Hugs)))

Tallyra · 08/03/2013 07:42

I'm due on 15th and haven't been TTC this month due to wanting to talk to the doctor before we go any further.
I think the problem is something to do with having building work in the house for the last month and dh on the late shift this week so I never get to see him, on top of all the friends babies and pgs around at the moment.

Tallyra · 08/03/2013 07:43

and thank you. xxx

barkingtreefrog · 08/03/2013 07:47

tallyra it's definitely stressful having building work done, it'll be so lovely to have the house back to yourselves though - hopefully some time soon?
Have a Biscuit. I feel we need a cake icon, biscuits don't always cut it. Seems a little early for Wine though and I'm not a Brew drinker so never think to offer anyone else one until prompted!

Bunnygirlie · 08/03/2013 08:33

Thanks twinkle

tallyra hugs, I know how you feel, I have been extra emotional the past few months too Sad

Anybody due to poas? To all those on DTD week break a leg!
