This cheered me up a little, I prefer this storyline :).

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 10:21

Ha, I sooo wish that was for real!

MavisCruet176 · 08/03/2013 11:23

barking - lol

feeling a bit better today - how are you bunny?

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 11:47

mavis still PoAs tomorrow???

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 11:51

I think it was you Mavis who said you might. Then again could have been Sidney. Shit memory, sorry

Tallyra · 08/03/2013 12:19

Thank you, that got more than a smile out of me :-)

Frogcatcher · 08/03/2013 14:21

Afternoon all & hello to all those who said hi to me yesterday. Sorry to miss the chat but i was at the theatre with 2 SILs & niece in law (abbv?!). Lots of baby talk as expected & asked again when we were going to have one :-( Barking I'm not here to catch you - name came about as I had just had to catch a frog that one of my darling cats had brought in. I've had a v bored productive morning at work catching up with the whole thread so I feel like i know you all a lot better now

I'm not a teacher but work for an accountants although I have 3 cats. 2 are mine & 1 is OH's so we had to combine cat families when we moved in together last year. One of my cats will definitely not like a baby & the others won't care.

Took my first temp today although think i may have got the wrong thermometer as its just an ordinary digital one rather than a special basal one - does that matter? Was v alarmed to learn from this thread that normal lube is potentially bad for sperm - might have to wait till the current tube runs out tho before buying special stuff as OH already thinks i am getting a bit obsessed! I DTD last night just prove that I wasn't obsessed as it was totally the wrong time of cycle given only at end of AF & I was v tired. Just going to have to keep DTD at alll times to keep him happy I think!!

Itsalwaysraining · 08/03/2013 16:41

Hello, may I join you, ladies? I have been trying to conceive for a year and am currently on my fourth round of Clomid after a two month break. I received the application form this morning for IVF as I only have one decent fallopian tube and I feel I am running out of time.

P.s. sausages are my favourite fruit.

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 16:52

Hi raining . Are you just starting a new cycle then? Got to admit I'm getting lost on who everyone is now we've had an influx of newbies!
frog a basal thermometer is more accurate (goes to 2 decimal points instead of one) and as the shifts in your temp can be small it helps pinpoint them much better. I think I read that the thermal shift at O can be as small as .2 therefore if your thermometer is rounding up and down this may be hard for you fertility friend to spot

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 16:54

frog this is mine, has the handy memory function so you don't have to wake up enough to write down the temp at silly o clock when you're still half asleep.

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 16:57

raining meant to say add yourself to the long list
happy not only are we cycle buddies but now I am emulating your low post O temps! FF is therefore not wanting to give me crosshairs fucker but pretty sure I O'd as have had a temp shift, just a much smaller one than usual

happylass · 08/03/2013 17:21

Welcome raining. Make yourself at home!
Merkin my temp went up a bit today to a slightly more respectable 36.82. Using FF for the first time this month. Has now given me crosshairs but dashed ones Confused
On top if that have come down with a cold today. Does being ill in 2ww decrease the chances of conception/implantation? Don't think my chances are very good this month anyway but I'm curious!

Frogcatcher · 08/03/2013 17:26

Hi raining. . I'm a newbie too.

Thanks (again!) merkin for the advice. I'll see how i get on this month rather than shelling out yet another fiver. If the OPK says I'm about to O but I don't see any temp change I'll buy the basal one. Not sure how good lazy I'll be with the charting temps anyway.

PowderPuffs · 08/03/2013 17:49

Hi raining!
Sorry to those of you with the lurgy.
Happy I was also wondering about that - after a bit of snooping around the net it doesn't look like it's a problem. Actually read a couple of times that it may help with implantation due to having a lowered immune system?! Hmm..

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/03/2013 17:50

happy never heard anything about effects of being ill. Could it be your body is too busy making a baby to fight off the cold eternal optimist! I had dotted crosshairs last month that turned solid when my temps stayed high, it may just be one symptom or temp throwing it off.
I'm off out tonight for food with a cousin and then a pub crawl a nice glass of wine. Tho going to be late as running around like a headless chicken in my dressing gown and wonky eyeliner makeup trying to figure out what to wear. Wardrobe now = floordrobe. Will be lovely picking all my clothes up tomorrow with a hangover Confused

Frogcatcher · 08/03/2013 18:11

Enjoy Merkin. Hope you feel better soon happy. I think OH may have given me the lurgi too so shall be having an early night I think.

Itsalwaysraining · 08/03/2013 18:26

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. Merkin, I am only on CD5 (took my fourth Clomid pill today) so in that incredibly tedious limbo of nothingness waiting for shag week. Hope seems so faraway in the week following AF Sad

Will add myself to the list.

P.s. last month my temps dropped below the coverline at 3DPO and 11DPO causing fertiltyfriend to remove my crosshairs entirely! Thankfully, I knew from my day 21 progesterone score (39.8) that I had ovulated, but I would've been pretty upset otherwise! Just thought I'd let you know that FF can get it wrong Hmm

Know how you feel raining. I'm on CD3 today. I'm starting my first OPKs next weds tho (following the Boots instructions) as my cycle is a bit irregular & has been as short as 25 days so at least I'll feel like I'm doing something then even if its just POAS!

Itsalwaysraining · 08/03/2013 18:46

I'd love a 25-day cycle, Frog; mine are 30/31 days on Clomid Sad

cherrycoconut · 08/03/2013 18:55

lol @ barking now that would be a story and a half. Fish paste hmm! An aquired taste... maybe it's a pregnancy craving?

Good work frog you have been busy! What Merkin said re decimal points.

Hello Raining come take a pew

How's everyone doing tonight? I've had a crappy day at work but yay for the weekend! I'm hitting the wine, chilling out and letting go of all that stress in the hope it won't effect any pending ovulation. FX! Hubby bless him cooking tea.

Interesting fact re implantation Happy so hope for you that BFP has your name on it x.

cherrycoconut · 08/03/2013 19:04

Frog and Raining swop you for mine any day, I'm on something like CD 218 at the mo of a never ending cycle after coming of the pill. Wakey wakey OV!

I did read yesterday that Vitex, Milk thistle, ginseng and inverted yoga poses are all good for post-pill amenorrhea. Anyone used or know what Vitex is cheers?

Bunnygirlie · 08/03/2013 19:28

barking that's really made me chuckle!

mavis still feeling really grot here, hideous timing mother nature damn you!

CD13 here, I have lurgy and hubby had jizz test today so I can't see much happening this weekend grrrrrrr

If only a cold were a sign of being upduffed I would be delighted to be feeling so crappy!! Frog I regularly have a 25/26 day cycle. It's absolutely fine as long as your LP is a good lengt. In fact it's great as everything just comes around faster Smile
