Our new home, hope we will all be very unhappy here and leave soon ;-)

Me neither (working in a school aside, but I hardly have any contact with the darlings. And I don't have cats... I don't think ferrets are worried about it one way of the other.
Good luck with the appointment. Make sure you write any questions down before hand, otherwise you'll forget them all when you need them most.

Thunderbuns · 04/03/2013 14:29

I don't work in a school and I don't have cats either. My dog chases cats- does that count though?

My GP didn't answer any questions when I went and registered- just gave me epau number and said to book in between 8-10 weeks with the midwife. It is nice to be official though, good on ya, mother!

What magic pills, bunny? (just misspelt that as bummy and am still chuckling now)

MavisCruet176 · 04/03/2013 15:59

I don't work in a school and I don't have cats either - looks like there's some variety after all!

mother - exciting to be 'official'!

MotherOfCleo · 04/03/2013 16:46

thunder my dog chases my cat, so I'm not annoyed at all Grin the dog races the cat to get to the catflap first....poor kitty.

MotherOfCleo · 04/03/2013 16:46

yes mavis very exciting Grin

PowderPuffs · 04/03/2013 16:56

Ladies, can I pick your brains please:
I had a + OPK yesterday afternoon, earlier than expected, and today there is no sniff of a line - but we should still DTD today and tomorrow though, right?

Thought I knew this stuff but I keep reading conflicting information... I think I just need reassurance that it's not too late for this month! Ta!

Mother I really want breaded mushrooms now! Yum.

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2013 17:15

Your positive OPK is normally approx 1 day pre ovulation (confirmed by temp rise). You should, for best chances, DTD the 5 days before O. I believe FF and studies I read had no examples of pregnancies happening from sex on the day of or after O

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2013 17:30

Sorry correcting myself, you're fertile 5 days before and the day of O ( which I assume for you is today) info here www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Intercourse-Timing-and-Frequency.html

PowderPuffs · 04/03/2013 18:03

Thanks Merkin! That's what I thought. Sounds really dumb but as the months go on I feel more confused, I'm probably reading too much.

Haven't checked out FF before - that's my evening sorted!

ILoveMyCats · 04/03/2013 18:20

Hello All! How are we? Congrats to the 'official' mother!

My turn to pick brains now, if I may. As you know, I've been for 2 sessions of acupuncture. I'm due to go again on Friday and part with another £45. I haven't seen any effect apart from making me extremely low in the 2/3 days afterwards. No AF and no BFP. Do I bother going again?

Thunderbuns · 04/03/2013 18:25

Hi all,

Am I right in thinking sometimes positive opk can be two days before O? I thought I read 12-48 hours on my digi pack and am clutching at straws while OH away some of this week

love, have you asked her about the feeling low bit? That doesn't sound worth £45 to me I just think of all the pg people I know to do that for free was it this lady who said some of the reason for no af might be linked to you not believing in it fully or was that someone else?

ILoveMyCats · 04/03/2013 18:31

oh no, she didn't say anything about not believing in it enough. it didn't occur to me that feeling low was linked to it the first time, but it's happened this time too. I'm feeling quite low anyway, so it might be nothing to do with the acupuncture....

Thunderbuns · 04/03/2013 18:38

Sounds like you should talk to her about it I reckon. Maybe she's unblocking your negative vibes by mistake or something...

MotherOfCleo · 04/03/2013 18:42

huh powderpuffs sorry Grin so do I.....doh.

twinklestar2 · 04/03/2013 19:31

powderpuffs - I would keep dtd till about weds this week just to cover you.

CD12 here and have my HSG tomorrow ready for OV on CD16. So hopefully this clearout will help egg to meet sperm.

barkingtreefrog · 04/03/2013 19:36

Laughing at Thunderbuns and images of acupuncturist finding negative vibes and pricking the right spots then sitting back and cackling like a wicked witch.

Tallyra and Ilovemycats - I LOVED My So Called Life. If it was on again now I couldn't bear to watch it, it would probably be sht and in my head it was the most wonderful show ever*! Wouldn't want to spoil the memories. I too have loved Clare Danes ever since. Not in that way though.

I've spent 11 hours at school today and am ready to collapse. After I've sent a couple of work emails....

Bunnygirlie · 04/03/2013 20:08

Bunnygirlie · 04/03/2013 21:14

Tee hee hee

OP posts:
cherrycoconut · 04/03/2013 21:43

Fingers crossed for you twinkles
love I would def speak to your acupuncturist... Lol @ thunderbuns From what I understand treatment can bring emotions to the surface but it's only ever made me thoughtful rather than down. I'd be miffed to have two treatments without any positives or resolution of feelings but chat to them; it may be part of the healing process or it could be that the method they're using isn't suiting you. However good a therapist is there's a lot to be said for their empathy too. Tis tres important so as not to knock them negative vibes and undo all the good!

I went for needles today too and have come away feeling really chipper. Every time I go I have more energy and she is full of confidence that I'm getting better and that everything is going in the right direction to OV soon. Yay! I've had a really tough last few years and it was reassuring if a bit shocking to hear that she thinks my probs are down to pure exhaustion. So all more reason to rest, eat well and find that elusive work life balance! Gah, easier said than done.

Good luck with the putting Bunny !

PowderPuffs · 04/03/2013 22:23

Thanks twinkle. Best of luck for tomorrow.

Thunder yes I've read both 12-36 hours, and 12-48 hours.

Bunnygirlie · 04/03/2013 22:36
