Generic Acupuncture Question

This is a generic question, but posting here as I had the acupuncture for ttc reasons.

Has anyone else who's had acupuncture had redness around the needle sites the day after? They look like small insect bites - raised and hard to the touch, but not itchy. I think I may be allergic to the metal of the needle, but wondered if anyone has any experience of this.

I'll try to find somewhere else to post this as well, in case there's another forum with more acupuncture users. TIA.

Hi - I have had acupuncture and have had a little redness immediately afterwards which isn't unusual as I have super sensitive skin but not anything like you describe. Did the acupuncturist use sterilised needles out of packets? Has this happened every time?

I've only had accupuncture once but this didn't happen to me.

It was my first time and they were sterile needles from new packs. Think I'll give her a call tomorrow. Thanks for your replies.
