ok so in the past 3 days i have done 4 pg tests, the first a superdrug one with the most faint line ive ever seen, then 2 more digital superdrug ones on seperate days both said pregnant... just done a clear blue digital.... not pregnant

The negative is more likely to be false than the positives. Congratulations!

honey86 · 17/02/2013 10:41

i agree with icing... there mustve been raised pg hormoneto be picked up by a digi test even if not clearblue... even when ive had a chem pg its taken a few days to go back to no hormone...
is it poss that the urine was diluted by drinking before u took it? or that not enough urine was soaked up x

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 17/02/2013 11:12

How many dpo have you been when taking the tests? Some PG tests are not as sensitive as they claim to be and should only be used after your period is actually late.

acsr1987 · 17/02/2013 12:06

im 2 days late! ugh i feel sick, i feel like i got my hopes up for nothing im fucking gutted

I'd give it a few more days then take another test.

False positives are very very rare, but not totally unheard of, particularly if you've been on any medication to help you conceive. It may just be that you haven't got quite enough HCG for some tests to pick up on yet. It should double every day, so waiting a few days should give you a clearer answer.

I'm sorry acsr, this TTC journey is so very hard on us all - I've been on it for almost 3 years now.

Indulge yourself for a few days and be kind to yourself. But don't let the sadness take you over, it will not help.

Theicingontop · 17/02/2013 16:57

Ahh I'm so sorry acsr what a cruel and unusual thing to happen Sad

Don't lose faith, keep trying. I wish you all the best.

omg you totally shouldn't feel stupid! I would have done exactly the same. I'm so sorry this bean didn't stick but it doesn't mean that will always be the case xxx

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 17/02/2013 19:29

You have done nothing wrong. Sadly these things do happen, and will happen to most of us. As I said up thread, I've been TTC for almost 3 years now and haven't had a sniff of a pregnancy. However I still get my hopes up every cycle, and every time my period shows up (I try not to POAS unless I'm actually late) I take it bloody hard, but I allow myself only 1 day of wallowing. If you let yourself slip into despair and potential depression you can risk harming your chances of TTC.

I'm not going to tell you not to stress and to "relax" (possibly the most patronising thing you can say to someone TTC Angry), but I will say you need to be kinder to yourself.

acsr1987 · 17/02/2013 20:06

thanks everyone, i just feel all "grrrrrr" and feel like ive been really kicked in the groin! going to docs tomorro to get checked out
i feel so sorry for myself!
