Hello, fancy using my iPad to help with noting down the dates, and have heard some people have good apps on their phones/pads. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi. I use iperiod on my iPhone. Some features I really like such as the calendar function but others are a bit more basic. It only cost about £1.99 though so worth the small investment! Hope that helps. Xx

Fertility Friend is by far and away the best aid to use. It is a website based tool, but they have an app too. You can use the basic system for free but if you pay a fee (about £30 per year IIRC) you get access to more advanced tools.

I really like Pink Pad and it's free!

I used p tracker. Not technically a fertility app but I was pregnant within 3 months, my friend within 2. We could just have been lucky though Grin

I have a suggestion.....

don't bother LOL!

Ladies I have used them all, on my PC, iPad, iPhone and they all gave me the same info and they were all WRONG!

I have just wasted a whole year on this rubbish, I'm gutted :-(

I have started using the Clearblue Fertility Tests and I have found my actual dates and they are 4 days off the dates these stupid apps told me!

These tests find your 2 most fertile days, I am having pregnancy type symptoms (I hope!)

I will continue to use these tests til I get pregnant.

I found out this month I only had 1 fertile day?

Oh well, fingers crossed eh?

Good luck ladies. xx

Thanks for the suggestions, I will have a look at them. Bubblegum - it's more for recording when I get lh surge on opks and af dates, rather than 'predicting' when I'm going to ovulate, more of a kind of diary I guess (and just being lazy getting an app to count the days rather than do it myself :) ! Good luck! And congrats those they worked for!

Everyone only has 1 fertile day a cycle - once you have ovulated the egg will only live for a maximum of 24 hours.

The apps are reliant on the information you give them. The more information you put in, the better their accuracy. At the end of the day there is no substitute for having regular sex.

OPKs are not infallible, they can only detect the surge of hormones you get before ovulation. However, many woman experience this surge several times before ovulation actually occurs.

Bubblegum - opk's do not work for everyone, they predicted my ovulation the day after my ovulation at times, since it is recommended that you have sperm already in place before you ovulate this would have been useless for me!!! Fertility friend dot com is a website to track you cycle not to predict ovulation but it is full of great advice to enable you to watch your own body signs that you are about to ovulate and confirms ovulation with temp rises.

I would definitely say look at the fertility friend dot com website.

I second Fertility Friend - temping and using OPKs helped me to really get to know my cycles, and I fell pg within 3 months of doing that. First time round, when I wasn't paying much attention at all (at first), it took 8 months...
Like OP said, the more data and info you put it, the more you get out.
Downside is that you spend a lot of time obsessing over staring at graphs... Smile

Thanks for the suggestions, I have fertility friend on the go so will see if it helps me log the info to get an idea of dates. frankelly completely agree with you on the regular sex thing, unfortunately dh works away so we have to be a little more planned! Grin
