Bought the wrong clearblue sticks!

Hello everyone,

We have embarked on the TTC route. One month and nothing, and given our age, we've decided to get some help in getting it right. Bought the clearblue fertility monitor test sticks, but the wrong one! I opened one of them and can't do anything with them as that would mean buying the over £60 monitor. Do you know if you could return to the shop after opening one of the sticks? What to do?

Are the sticks you have OPK sticks of some sort? If so, could you just use them as they are (ie without the monitor, assuming they are ones you simply dip in a cup of pee and read the visible lines on them)?

Also have you decided to take your temps? Temps are the only way you can confirm ovulation (even though OPK / fertility monitor will give you an indication it is not 100% positive)

Sell on eBay - I did the. Same thing and got over half what I paid

If you an't sell them on ebay as already suggested, use them with FMU. Even though you don't have a monitor, you should see the line nearest where you hold the stick go very pale (or even disappear) and the line nearest the peeing end get a bit darker (or in my case, vaguely visible to the naked eye). Ov is usually the day after the line nearest the peeing end is at its darkest. Good luck!
