I have a son who is 15 months and am still breast feeding. I got my period back in October and have had regular periods since but they have been lighter than pre-pregnancy. We have been careful with contraception. So I wouldn't be worried apart from that I have been feeling kicks and movement in my tummy that feels like pregnancy kicks. It can't be surely, please tell me it's not...

CunfuddledAlways · 14/02/2013 16:22

Vijac · 14/02/2013 16:49

POAS = Pee on a stick. I.e. Do a test! Let us know how it goes!

CunfuddledAlways · 14/02/2013 16:52

pee on a stick - take a test

would do as you could have had a condom break or something

I get that a lot from time to time, feels like being 15 weeks pregnant - trapped gas.

fairypangolin · 14/02/2013 17:20

For months after my son was born I felt as though I had a baby inside me, kicking! I actually did a pregnancy test despite still breastfeeding and having an IUS fitted - it was negative. I have since learnt that when you are pregnant the baby pushes your intestines up and under your ribs. It takes a very long time for them to move back down again so trapped wind or digestive action can feel like a baby kicking.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 14/02/2013 17:22

Do a test!

But it might be your digestive system. Weirdly I stopped feeling like I could feel little limbs after I got pregnant.

Jollyb · 14/02/2013 17:22

This happened to my stepsister. She was 16 weeks pregnant. The baby was conceived when her DS was 8 weeks old. Good luck.

Vijac · 14/02/2013 17:23

Aargh jolly! That is not what I hoped to hear. Must buy a test on the way home!

Ooo - I'm all excited for you!

Bearface · 14/02/2013 17:26

But obviously if it isn't what you want, then that's a different story.

WakeyCakey · 14/02/2013 18:59

POAS Grin I hope you get the result you are after!!

Vijac · 14/02/2013 22:19

I took a test and it was negative. A big relief as I have been drinking alcohol/coffee/eating raw meat etc. and would have worried if I was. We do want another baby but not yet. Thanks for the support, I was really nervous. These phantom kicks are very odd!

Yes it freaked me out too and I also poas but afterwards I looked it up online and it's pretty common. I suppose you wouldn't think about it before you had children.
