lack of ewcm!

please help - i have regular periods, i know when i am ovulating - all the signs apart from cm - none. i get the "surge" on the sticks, the cramping, the lower pains, even the headaches which is a sign for me and has been for ages, but no cm. i have a 3.5 yr old, and one m/c in dec 05 - so i can get pregnant - but been trying to concieve a while and now i am wondering if there is a problem with this. does anyone else have this? and have you been able to get pregnant? i remember i USED to get it. thanks for help / advice....

Not 100% sure but I think you can get a lubricant called Pre-seed that act's as your CM would I believe, may be worth looking into.

Interesting, I don't the answer I'm afraid but I'm in the same boat. I remember getting it before I had dd but haven't had it since ttc this time round. tbh I just thought I hadn't noticed it somehow or other.

Hi Pre seed would be probably be good. I've just bought some to have a little try and it seems you insert it and squirt it in (sorry Blush)
You could also try evening primrose this has really worked for me a when I had my implant out. if you have just come off a hormonal contraceptive your CM can be a little meagre. You need to get a high dose capsule I think mine is 1000 miligrames (boots) or double up smaller ones take it up until you ovulate. This has done wonders for my breast pain too, around OV time and when AF is due. I get very little pain or tenderness. HTH

klou, I used to have loads more when younger. When I got older, I noticed very little. I think when you have less, it tends to stay near the cervix and not come down. It is still very possible to conceive even if you don't have a lot. But I found that the best way to check was [TMI WARNING] to wipe my front (separate tissue for hygiene purposes) after a bm. I think the bm tends to push things down. Ok, will now slink off.

Hi Girls...another thing to try is a glass of fresh grapefruit juice and some cough medicines. But i know that 3 capsules of evening primrose really helps.

i have been taking the EPO, drinking the grapefruit juice and taking the cough stuff, and still no cm - i have an appt with the dr. in a few weeks and i will mention it. has ane one used preseed and had positive results?

I have just ordered some preseed and apparently it's "on it's way"!! So I will let you know :)

However...after reading about the squirting it in bit.....wasn't expecting that Peachy Grin

I've used pre-seed for 2 cycles, didn't work 1st cycle, and i'm pretty sure i didn't even ovulate this cycle!!!! Angry

Pre-seed is good stuff tho, feels nice & slippy!!! Yup, you squirt it in alright, goes with a good squelch, lmao!!!! :o Enjoy it!!!!!

Am currenlty reading 'taking charge of your fertility' and in one case study it says a couple actually used egg whiteShock so i think i will be ordered some pre seed.

Just a continuation of the first question i began with...now i am on day 20. Still no CM - but today i felt the ovulation pains i had back on day 14/15 when I had all the "classic" symptons also - and the LH surge on the ov sticks. Also today - not CM but more wet - sorry (tmi) Is it possible that i never ovulated day 15 and my body is trying to again now day 20? This also happened last month. PLease any help!

Hi, yes it is possible that you're body can put off ovulating until you're ready. I have read all about it in 'taking charge of your fertility'. You must try to get this to read - its excellent. I bought a 2nd hand copy from ebay.

Sounds to me like you have ov'd today - but I'm no gynae!!

There's something else though about CM - Someone said further down on this thread that cough medicine is supposed to help, but in the book, you're advised to steer clear of cough med. Its supposed to dry your CM. And clomid can too.

hiya klou, i think we have bumped into each other on "positive may" thread.
like yourself, i seem to get the ovulation cramping plus ov signs on persona, but have never noticed any ewcm. i seem to remember in my younger days (eg 20s!!) long before i even thought about ttc, that i did have ewcm, but alas no more, not now its needed in fact!!
i have just brought my second batch of pre-seed, it feels good and yes it does go up there with a bit of a squelch!! and no, you cant do it very discreetly either! As for if it works..............im on cd21 and waiting. I'll keep you posted!!

thanks pussycat, i am the same as you - i remember getting loads of it in my younger days - i'm 33 now. how long have you been trying? i,ve got a 3 year old and one m/c in december. i'm not sure about the pre-seed - i have stressed my husband out enouigh with the doing it on demand i think i would really drive him mad!!

nanitude - maybe you are right about me ov. later than i thought - BUT not surge line on the later day - but a surge line on the earlier day!!
