When to test?

I'm driving myself and DH mad with symptom spotting and would really appreciate some advice on when I can put us out of our misery. I'll try to be brief...

I had my implant out 6 or 7 weeks ago and started bleeding the same day - but as I had loads of breakthrough bleeding while on it I suspect that was coincidence. AF then arrived 24 days later.

Based on CM and mittelschmerz (and randiness Blush ) I think I then ovulated on CD 9 or 10. If I take the last cycle as a guide then AF is due this Thursday which would be 14/15dpo - can I test then or would it be more sensible to wait for CD28 as I can't really rely on the length of the previous cycle?

I would personally wait... but thats because I hate the though of seeing a BFN so would rather wait until it will either definitely show a BFY.... OR until I KNOW im not pregnant! The though of a BFN makes me sad!!!!! haha x
