Has anyone had very painful ovulation and managed to conceive?

Every other month (the right hand side) I get very painful ovulation. It doesn't last long, maybe a couple of hours but it bloody hurts! It's like being stabbed and it hurts to walk. Staying still is ok.
I am worried this may indicate the tubes are blocked or scarred. Cycles are 28 days, periods normal, no pain when having sex so the only thing I can think that is stoping is from conceiving is a problem with the tubes. Been ttc for 18 months nearly and now having investigations but so far only had an ultrasound which was normal. I guess next step is an hsg.

I just wondered if this painful ovulation is still in the realms of normal.
